I just received my GMCS notes..

We applied by the end of March and as per the notes, in October they gave us green light.. the immigration officer comment says: "Ample and varied proof of relationship submitted, PA and SPR look natural and well suited in photos. I am satisfied this is a genuine relationship"

I am happy we got all our million pictures back, were not expecting that.. ;D

Thanks MCVO, now send my friends here their PPR please!! :D

Let's go MCVO let's go!!

Ticket booked for Dec 23!!

All the best :)
All the best tinyaries!! I'm seriously considering asking for my notes, and even though they have not yet asked us for our passport I am already investigating on how to send it considering it seems hard for some, and turns out that in Uruguay I can't do the prepaid thing either from dhl or FedEx  :-[

Nice that's cool.thats an awesome timeline. I noticed your Ecas took 3 months to change to IP. Ours took 10 days does that mean they are working on our paperwork and they will get back to us soon? The other question I have is who received the RFPR? The applicant or the sponsor?

Thank you very much Valeescu!!

Yes, I will suggest you to do some research about the prepaid Airway Bill, it will save you time for sure..

I am sure all the remaining PPRs are coming this week!

Let's pray for that!

Best of luck :)

Jbobben!!

My eCas took 5 months to change to 'In process'..

It's hard to predict in which stage you are at now.. I will suggest to expect some sort of news after month 6, it seems that MCVO is doing a good job and not to many apps are taking 17-18 months to be finalized..

Starting from AOR2 all the emails came to me the applicant, not to the sponsor anymore..

Wish you best of luck on your process!

Hope you get news soon!

;)

saraotty!

To make the story short..

I sent the passport Nov 23, it was received Nov 26..

I got a notification from that VFS office Dec 9, saying that the passport had left MCVO..

Dec 14 VFS called me saying the passport was ready for pick up..

My visa was printed Dec 1st, so I guess it took so so long because I didn't have the prepay Airway Bill, and I had to email CIC asking how to proceed.. They took few days to reply and as I commented in previous posts it took them few days to figure out what to do next to send me the passport back..

My suggestion will be to investigate on how to send the passport and get a prepay Airway Bill for the return, or go to this VFS office in advance to talk to them saying you will be coming to process the passport return with them..

Really wish you get your PPR soon! ;)

Oh wauw that's long.. But that's including since you filed. I was doing the math since your file was transferred lol.

Oh ok.. We have 4 months now so I guess around Febraury we should have some movements.. Yeah they are doing great so far. I hope they keep that up lol

Oh ok just was wondering if my wife was gonna get the emails too..

Thank you for helping clarify those questions for me..

Thank you for the good wishes..

We hope so too.. Thanks again✌

Having been busy with preparations to travel soon I haven't had time to comment about my wife's CoPR.

Despite us having been married for more than 2 years, my wife received Condition 51, which is; PA must cohabit in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor for 2 years from the date she becomes a PR. I suppose I understand why, due to the difference in age between us, and of course, it's a non-issue for us as far as our relationship is concerned as we love each other deeply and have a great relationship. We were just a little surprised that they gave her the condition, with, in fact being married for more than 3 years at time of issuance of the visa.

Oh well! In the end we are just happy to have been approved, happy to have had the medicals extended, happy we had no interview and happy we'll be home for Christmas!

Speedy processing everyone!

I'm having same question as far as now. Only list of good and my documents with me.. Anything else for landing?
If you haven't already done it get certified translations into English of your marriage certificate, birth certificate, Drivers License, driving abstract and I suppose maybe Baptismal certificate if that applies to you.

I am told that, at least, in Alberta you need a certified translation of your marriage certificate in order to register for Alberta Health care. My son's friend who works in a registry office told us we also need a 'legitimate' signed lease to demonstrate actual residency in Alberta for Alberta Health (among other Identity documents like passport and CoPR). YMMV!
