Just saw a thread that many applicants have just received Ecas update for "Medicals Received", so I just checked mine and sure enough line #3 added today, "Medicals Received!"

Anyone else?

I had that line before, but switched positions to point 4 o_O
Or maybe it is because I always log in with my husband's information (applicant) but yeah, it switched positions

Our Ecas still says "Application Received" only, even though we received an email on September 21st confirming they had received our medical records and attached them to our file, as well as we received our AOR2 on September 30th.... Do you think there is a possibility that they are working on the file even though it doesn't say that it's being processed? ::)

Oh this wait, this wait.... Speedy processing everyone!

In My husband ECAS aplication appears in the 4th line. But in my ECAS it always appeared in the 3rd line.

Don't worry about ECAS, they always post information about your case after sent you a letter. In my opinion they should improve this tool, i mean they should have a system that gives you information when the Officer log in and log out in your account, a checklist of witch papers they already checked and if the papers are correct or incorrect, complete or incomplete. It would help a lot!!! because we spend months without news and that makes us desperate.

Definitely! AOR2 signals the start of your application processing so now you just have to wait for some communication from the MCVO. :D As saraotty says ECAS is unreliable as a means of determining what is really happening with your application. Also saraotty correctly states that it should be improved and better utilized as a way to keep us informed about each step in the process of our applications. Come on CIC!! :P

Thank you saraotty! Yes you are right, they could do so much better in keeping us in the loop of what's going on. If something is missing we could send it while they are still working on the file, thereby speeding up the process. Oh well, I'm just happy we received our AOR2, I think the time in limbo is the longest wait so I'm hopeful to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. :D

You know, I have rarely logged into ECAS with my wife's (the PA) UCI number. Ever since the Spousal Approval days sooooooooooo many months ago I almost always used my UCI to check ECAS. Low and behold, my wife's ECAS status using her UCI is different from her status using my UCI!!?? WTH!
:o ??? :-\ :-X :'( I assumed that they would be identical, o sea, that you are accessing the same information just from different UCIs. NOT the case. Her ECAS application status includes line item #4 which states that the VO sent her correspondence on Sept 14th (AOR2 and request for additional documentation) which she needs to act on blah, blah, blah. So, another lesson learned! Just when you think you have the CIC and Visa Office figured out they change it up on you LOL! ;D (Kidding, CIC is impossible to figure out). I have no idea when her ECAS was updated with "medicals received" and "in process" updates. Oh well, it doesn't much matter at this stage. It is frustrating though. It could be a very valuable system for us if it was utilized in a timely and detailed manner... :'(

Speedy Processing!

You are very welcome! It's my way of giving back a little to a group of people that have be invaluable for us throughout this process.

My best case scenario is this (you know fingers & toes crossed, prayers made, stars aligned, no interview, approval assumed, etc);

We get PPR between Nov 1st - 15th.

We get Passport back with Visa and COPR by latest Dec 1st.

We pack up and drive up to Canada and land by Dec 15th as medicals expire Dec 15th (Done dec 16th, 2014).

Or, MCVO extends medicals validity for us and gives us more time to arrive.

My wife has been sorting through clothes, etc. for weeks now 8) ;D and we have generally been preparing for the move to Canada in anticipation of a positive result! Here's hoping!!

As far as I know you will have to do a complete Spousal Application. There is no minimum income level required for spousal sponsorship, though the application may request some financial information, for example an Option C print-out from CRA for your spouse. The guide indicates which forms need to be filled out for your country.

There may be someone here on the Mexico forum that can better answer your question, but you may have better results in one or both of these forums;
