What are you gonna send? Do the embassy requested anything?
When did you go to Miguel de Cervantes? Was it this month?

Which courier should I use to send the passports from my wife's state in Mexico to the embassy in Mexico City? According to the UPS website, they don't have an overnight service from one Mexican city to another.

When they asked me for my CSQ it specified they wanted the original. I would assume they need the original in every case.

The kind of interview depends on what they are looking for - in my husband's case it was mainly to find a pretext to deny us, in this case claiming we were not in a genuine relationship because we (not I but we) had had conversations with my ex. All BS, but that's what they do - look for the tiniest stupid detail to deny you, so keep that in mind. It doesn't matter what the laws of the country are, they can use anything and everything against you. Some of their questions about my finances could have been answered by asking me into the interview, but when my husband suggested it, Mrs. Davila (see below) said she didn't want to see me. Of course not, because I could have dispelled any doubts!

The other thing they did was to goad him, trying to make him feel ashamed. I don't want to be more specific because they likely have someone spying on this thread.

Lastly, I want to confirm that at the Embassy in Mexico City my husband saw only Mexicans, including the woman who has been running the Embassy for the last 20 or so years Mrs. Davila. He saw nothing to indicate that it was in any way connected with Canada (no flags, no pictures, no Canadian anything including no non-Mexican personnel). He said that all the people who worked there including the first interviewer (before Mrs. Davila who makes the final decisions) looked uneducated, like people who would normally work at a taco stand or in a market. Another interviewee agreed. As an immigration lawyer once said, she should have been retired years ago.

And I was initially not allowed to enter the waiting area where Mexican families were waiting for the interviewed person. The haggling went on for half an hour before someone higher up decided to let me in (I'm a Canadian citizen).

It was a terrible experience and one most Canadians would be ashamed of and could not imagine.
How did they know you had talk to your ex? And all the weird stuff you mention. I've been there before the strike and all of them were Mexicans... Mean ones too.

Hey,

I just got a mail with a "Document Request - RCMP Clearance Certificate". I though this was the one that I had to get from Mexico (send the fingerprints to the Canadian Visa office in Mexico) but when I read the instructions them just says to mail it to "Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services".

So is RCMP is a different document than the PGR (read in this thread something about that)?

I am currently living in Canada, and applying for PR under CEC.

This is the correct address where all applications, document requests, and passports are sent to:

Embassy of Canada – Visa Section
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193
Col. Granada
Del. Miguel Hidalgo
11520 Mexico City, D.F.
Mexico
One question. My wife sent her passport to the above address, but instead of writing Visa Section, she wrote Immigration Section. I'm pretty worried that this could cause a problem. Is it okay addressed to the immigration section?

PGR is Mexican police certificate. RCMP is the Canadian one. The applicant should provide police certificates from the countries where he/she has lived for a time longer than six months after 18 years old. If this apply to your case you would need to send both

I have a potential problem with DHL. I signed up to receive an email notification when my wife and stepson's passports were delivered. Since my wife doesn't live in a town where any courier services are available, she used a local messenger guy to take the envelope with the passports in it to the DHL office in the capital of her state. We decided to use DHL because they ship to her town directly. On her own envelope, she wrote her mailing address as the from address and the embassy address as the to address, and she put our file number beside her name in the from address, and then had the messenger take it to DHL. According to the email notification from DHL, it has my wife's name only as the from address and the DHL office address in place of her address. Her file number isn't present. Also, the address of the embassy is missing some things, as well. See below:

Ship From:

**** ******
REFORMA 240 C
CENTENARIO
HERMOSILLO;SONORA, 83260
MX

Ship To:
EMBASSY DF CANADA MEXICO
MIGUEL DE CERVANTES SAAVEDRA 193
GRANADA
MEXICO DF, 11520
MX

We're worried that DHL removed my wife's original label showing her true return address and her file number. Clearly, that information isn't present from the DHL email notification as indicated above. The woman at DHL who my wife spoke to about this claims that she (the woman at DHL) sent the passports exactly as they were addressed on the envelope. She said they removed the label my wife made from the original envelope my wife used and pasted it on a DHL envelope. So, clearly they didn't use my wife's original envelope. They took everything and put it in a DHL envelope. Regarding the DHL address in Hermosillo that appears instead of my wife's true mailing address, the woman from DHL said they did this because that's the address they used since that is the address of the DHL branch where the envelope was sent from. Is it standard procedure for DHL to use both the original customer label and a computer-generated label on the same envelope? Also, as I said, my wife included her file number on the original label, and as you can see, it isn't there on the information from the DHL shipment notification. Should we be worried?

Hi guys,

I have a silly question, thing is I send my PGR letter July 12 2013 and since then I haven’t hear from the embassy, my husband and I email them at the beginning of the year 2014 and they did reply to me but it really didn’t help us because they didn’t told us what was going on with my file or what will the next be.. Do y´all think it will be a bad idea if I email them at the beginning of February again? We know this process requires a lot of patience but is very stressful not knowing what is going on, it’s been almost 7 months and no news

Thank you & good luck to everyone :)

DHL put a label they make by compute with the addresses and names and everything. I check an email I request they to send me and the address in the email, has some stuff missing too. I guess is something about the emails they send for notification, also I had my file number wrote beside my name and in the email it's missing. So I think you should be ok, did you use the tracking number? Did it get it?

I put my documents in an envelope and I put my labels on it, the DHL guy put everything in a DHL envelope and their computerized label on it. About the address I sent an extra sheet with my data, file number, date of birth, address, also they asked me to confirm my mailing address and hubby's address so that came in the letter too.

I think they'll use the address you confirmed them, and you can track it so you know it's already in the DHL office.

Sorry if I confused you more, I just want to said I think you should be fine.

Did you order you GCSM notes? maybe that could help you and know what's going on, you may find out why they want to call you to an interview and see the what's going on with your application. What I don't know is how to order them and I think it takes a month they sending them to you.
