I have a question. We have done everything. I am in Canada (Canadian) sponsoring my wife (Mexican). Everything has gone thru and she just sent the PGR letter and the Payment receipt thru DHL to the Embassy in Mexico City. Does anyone have an idea how long an answer will be given? I sent everything in Dec 2012 and everything has gone quite fast I think. Do you think the answer depends on each individual case? Thanks!

hey, no it wont,
we changed ours and there was no delay because of it

you need to send it from the case specific link on the website, here it is

and it needs to have the applicants info

No, Sorry. The whole process started in Dec. I sent all the sponsorship documents in Dec. The PGR letter was sent to the Embassy last Friday. SO we have completed all the documents and medicals. Thanks

In our case we received the PPR two weeks after submitting the PGR. I have also seen other timelines that receive PPR between 2-4 weeks after submitting PGR. I believe the amount of time can vary on a case by case basis depending if they require any additional documents or other factors. Also based on reading posts on this forum it sounds as though things are progressing a little slower right now given there are limited employees due to the strike.

Wow! That is quicker then I thought. I calculated a month or two. I hope we are lucky. We have been separated almost two years now. I have our two sons and she has our daughter down there. We are all Canadian except for her so now we can be finally reunited!!!

Thank you so much for your answer.

Hey,
