Hi everyone .. I was suppose to send my waybill to the embassy wensday but I wasnt sure whats my file number :S In the letter my husband recived it has UCI NUMBER & APPLICATION NUMBER ! which one do I have to write on the letter Im sending the embassy ???

Hello everyone, me and my husband just started the process. My husband is Canadian, I'm Guatemalan. Strangely enough, my husband's cousin also went through the sponsorship process with her (also Guatemalan) partner. She is advising us to get get FBI and RCMP checks before CIC asks for them, to speed up the process. She says they will ask for them because I lived in the U.S. as minor and in Canada as student. Is this good advice, or should I just wait for them to be requested?

you should get the police checks for anywhere u lived for 6 months or longer after the age of 18.
it will speed up the process if u get ur rcmp and fbi now instead of waiting for them to ask for it.

i believe the police checks are only valid if the embassy receives them within 3 months of u getting them. so i would send it with the app if possible, or if not that just send them after u get step 1 approval, so that u know the mexican embassy has ur file.

you can send it before they send u the AOR but about a month after u got sponsorship approval.
so that they have the waybill in hand before sending out the pgr letter, otherwise ull probabaly get 2 letters, plus when you send the prepaid waybill it is usually exactly 10 days from them receiving it until they mail it back out to you.
I would send it before you get the AOR/pgr notification.

Ok, so after my sponsor is approved I have to send the prepaid waybill. Where do I have to send it? Mississauga?

I would wait until they notify you that they sent you the PGR instructions. Don't rely on the mail system!!! Definitely send prepaid waybill!!

But where should I send it? to the embassy on Mexico City or to Mississauga? I live in Mexico City.

Hi everyone, is the first time writting on this post my name is Jonathan(mexican) and i bring my topic to this forum in order to get some information....i got married to a canadian,Caitlin.......the next it is what happen...

got married 01\05\2012
we sent the app 13\10\2012
app recieved in mississuaga office 24\10\2012
been found eligible to sponsor 22\11\2012
22\02\2013 they asked me the following information and docs:
(pgr)police certificate
Right of Permanent Residence Fee
Any additional evidence of your relationship....
i sent everything to them 28\03\2013

today 06\05\2013
got an email: need to provide marriage certificate,you have provided a Marriage Licence.but we require the Certificate...

today i went to service ontario website and apply for the marriage certificate file size...have not send it yet because it takes 5 bussines days to get to your door.

so my questions are, do you guys know how far i am from the end of the process? somebody have an idea when they going to call me for an interview?
its a bad thing that i made a mistake by sending the wrong long form marriage certificate and this its going to be a problem in relation to the waiting time?

i would wait about 4 weeks than send it to the immigration section of the canadian embassy in mexico city.
i always go with dhl, good rates and they seem to know what they are talking about when dealing with the embassy and waybills and stuff

yap you right....you have to get a letter from the canadian embassy asking the PGR for the PCC i recomend you send them a prepaid airwaybill you can get it on estafeta sometimes the normal curier takes for ever...

looks like you are pretty close to the end of the process.
my guess is after they get the marriage certificate, it wont be too much longer before u get ppr.

there is still a chance of interview, but hopefully not if they are satisfied with the extra evidence u sent and the certificate.
