Yes I think this confuses a few people. I can only speak to our experience but after our file was transferred and we recieved sponsorship approval we were then sent an email from the embassy in Mexico City. The email was titled AOR. In the email was just a generic letter basically staing they were working on our file. However the email also contained an attachment requesting the PGR.
An attachment requesting the PGR??? So you didn't have to wait for a paper request letter to be mailed to you?

Hey,

Sorry I worded that bad. The attachment just advised us that the embassy required the PGR to continue progressing our application. They advised us they had sent the PGR letter by regular mail but we could send a prepaid waybill and once received they would send the letter again. After sending the waybill it took about 2 weeks to get the PGR letter.

Hello, does anyone have any idea how long a wait to expect after submitting additional or missing documents for the first part of the application (the sponsorship part)?
Guanada,

My husband didn't sign one of his forms and by the time we should have gotten the approvel (about 3 months) he was asked to send in what was missing and it took another 3 months so it seems like they dont look at anything until it is complete and you might be sent to the back of the line.

Hopefully it wont take that long for you.

Did you send the waybill ?, or did you just stood with regular mail ? I'm only asking because mail in Mexico is not really safe !

We used dhl to send a waybill to the embassy and they sent the PGR letter to us two weeks later. Just a heads up to everyone. Once the embassy sends the PGR request you have 60 days to obtain the document and send it back. It takes around 10 days to get the PGR.

If I remember correctly I think your file was transferred a few weeks ago right? So your file should be there and at least waiting for an officer to review it. You can send the waybill before receiving the AOR. I believe there are several people on this forum who have done so. I can only assume it would speed up the process because they would likely send the PGR letter to you on the same day they send you the request for PGR.

My file was transfer to Mexico City march 28th 2013 well at least I think so they send my husband a letter on march 28th telling him he was approved as a sponsor & for further enquiries regarding our application he will have to contact the embassy in Mexico , so I guess that means my file was transfer on march 28th right ? Yes I'm planning to send it on Monday ! I'm so nervous about all this wish it was over soon !
