I think its a great idea!
If hes a canadian citizen there is nothing wrong with him going to take a trip with u.

When my husband first moved back to mexico i went with him and stayed there for 8 months. Than came back, and in march i just went back for another vacation to see him for 2 weeks.

Him visiting u there wont affect the application at all. :)

Hello to both of you!

My husband and I are about to apply outland, I live in Mexico.

Am I allowed to go visit him? I already have a visa, but I dont' know if this would affect our application.

Thanks!

As long as u are a canadian citizen and not just a permanent resident you can go visit him for ass long as u want! :) im a canadian citizen and i spent just under a year there. And there are plenty of other people that have been living with there spouses in mexico for 2 years before they go back to canada. As long as ur a citizen, it doesnt effect anything.
When i went i didnt even notify cic. I just put my name on the canadian embassy website so they knew i was there in case of an emergency or natural disaster they could find me and help me get back to canada. Just as u should do when u go on a trip anywhere outside of canada :)
I can send u the link if u want it too for that.

oh sorry I thought u meant are u allowed to take a trip to mexico.

yeah if u have a visa for Canada, u can apply outland and still go visit him in Canada while u wait for the process to go through.

there was another girl on here that went to mexico than her spouse applied for a multiply entry visa for Canada, and they went back to Canada and he stayed there while they waited out the processs, when his 6 months was about to expire, they sent in for a visa extension and he was on implied status until receiving an answer, they ended up getting ppr before he got the answer back from the visa extension.

as long as u have a visa u can go visit, it wont effect anything.

Anyone here who has applied for a travel document for Permanent Residents at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico? Advices.. thanks!

Oh thanks very much! I hope I can make it for july. I got to say, this process is really hard, we are just about to start and its difficult, between all papers and the distance.

so all of us hanging here, we are very brave strong people!

Thanks very much for your comments!

:D

Can anyone on here tell me what type of removal order my husband might have gotten?? We lost the paperwork. He is a failed refugee and PRRA. He was given 30 days to leave and he did so on time. He has been gone for over a year now :(
I'm just wondering if it could possibly be an Exclusion Order or Deportation order. What's the difference??
Thanks! ;)

HI
it was a departure becomes deportation

the same one my husband got, he was a failed refugee, failed prra, was given 30 days to leave and did so on time aswell.
and has been gone for over 1 year now lol. almost the exact same thing.

Exclusion orders are usually 1 or 2 year bans that are lifted once they pass and you would not need to apply for an ARC if they are finished, they are usually given to people who entered Canada illegally, overstayed illegally, or were working illegally.

and deportation is basically for every denied refugee and this means for the rest of their life if they ever want to come back to Canada they will need to apply for an ARC. there wont ever be a time where an arc is not needed, before becoming a permanent resident.

Hope that makes sense :)

also
Because he will need to do an arc, mexico city has a bad habit of asking for document regarding the failed refugee case, so if you are like us and didn't have any of the paperwork, you will need to order it asap, as it takes about a month to get.
and I can almost guarantee that they will ask for some of the documents before approving the arc.

Yes it does! Thanks! They still haven't asked for his ARC! I wish I could just get it started without having to wait for them to ask for it. Ahhhh...but all in good time right??? lol

Would that be in his Foss notes?

im not sure

does he have the chunk of paperwork of the reasons for decision (that states the reason why his refugee was denied) ?
and the reasons for decision for the prra (that states why the prra was denied)?

he would have got these while he was I Canada the first one shortly after his hearing was denied and the other one when he found out the prra was denied

I just looked at our arc request from the embassy and this is exactly what they asked for

"Copies of the Immigration and Refugee Board Reasons of Decision and Order regarding your refugee claim in Canada (please provide the complete document, not only the first page)"
