Hi,

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help is needed: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The visa office ask us Fingerprints taked on FD-258 (standard fingerprints form).

We are in Tijuana.
Whe have a lot of difficulties to find a place where those famous fingerprints can be done.
Looks like nobody wants to get them done. :(

We tried us embassy, police centers, pgr, ife, etc... and nobody offers this service
Does somebody over there passed thru the same problem ???
Where can it be done ??? :-\

thank you so much for the support !!!

I had to get them as well because I'm originally from Tijuana, although I'm now living in Mexico City. Can you/the applicant cross to the USA? If you have a tourist visa to the USA then you can get them done at a police station there.

I got them done at the "Procuraduria General de Justicia del Distrito Federal (PGJDF). Their equivalent in Tijuana would be the Procuraduria General Judicial del Estado de Baja California.

That's the website, make a few calls and see if they offer fingerprinting service.

It happens to me all the time. I just Copy what I wanted to to post (including the quote) then I click on "Reply" like if I was going to post a new message, then I type whatever like "Edit" and post it. Then I go back a second later, and edit my message by pasting my original intended message.

So this is what ive been trying to post you for the past 10 minutes...

hahaha buff mexican !! OBVIOUSLY!! lol

hmm yeah they didnt tell you much! lol

at least when they write to you its professional.

the last email we got from them was written like a student lol.
this is what it said

dear applicant,

we sent you correspondance with your prepaid waybill dated august 27, 2012. Please wait for it to arrive in the mail before further processing.

canadian embassy address

thats it!! and the font was not standard either it was something else, and they had it once size bigger than standard size lol! soo weird!.
its like everytime we email, we either get a new guy answering, or a lazy person haha
:P

it wouldnt even let me copy it!! i had to retype it! now it will work!. so random!

LOL Yeah I've gotten that before. I find it funny and sometimes a little bit annoying (me being a languages instructor and all)

Over the years and several emails sent, I've noticed that they have different people responding on any given day and my guess is that they identify themselves with three initials that they always type after "Canadian Immigration and Visa Section" in my case it was someone with the initials (AMA) but there are other ones out there.

hahaha! i imagine so! 8)

oh really!! i didnt know they put the initials. im going to get my husband to open the emails again tonight and see if we have some initials at the bottom!

i am interested to know if the past two emails were the same person or different, because they were both really vague and didnt seem "professional" lol.
;D

one of ours says AMA too.
but i thought that was just a short form name for the section of the embassy they are in.

i didnt know that was the persons initials. lol

yes , my request is regarding the fbi fingerprints...
my wife can not cross the us border...

They're to identify the different officers I'm sure. I have replies from (AMA) (GSC) and (IPM) This last one told me that technically I don't need an ARC, but an "error" in the system shows I need one and that they would try to fix it. This was back in early 2009!

OFF TOPIC

but i have a question, maybe someone can help.

Im going back to alberta on sunday and im planning to take back some souveniors for the family.
including a pair of armadillo boots for my dad (hes a rancher).

i was checking the cbsa website to see what I can and cannot bring and this is what it says

20. The following is a non-exhaustive list of products made from Appendix II and Appendix III species
that no longer require a CITES permit, when purchased as a tourist souvenir:
(a) stuffed armadillo;
(d) alligator, lizard, iguana, tegu, and snakeskin leather handbags, wallets, boots, shoes, belts;

It says I can bring a stuffed armadillo, but it doesnt say anything about armadillo boots...

do you think this wouldnt matter, armadillo is armadillo it doesnt matter if its stuff or on a piece of clothing right...

i should be fine bringing the boots across right?
does anyone have experience bringing anything like this back to canada.

about 10 years ago we brought a stuffed iguana back and had no problems.. but than again that was 10 years ago..
:)

thanks!

Lol sorry I can't help you, but I couldn't help giggling a bit when "Alberta" and "Armadillo boots" were put in the same sentence. Talk about stereotypes, EH!? :P
