Where do I get the CORP from?... I dont remember seeing any paper like that on the folder that was given to me :o

It´s an office size paper that has the applicant´s info at the top and the sponsor info at the bottom and at the very bottom a place where you are supposed to sign when you land. It´s the one they tell you not to write on until you get to Canada!

Oh and it has a picture of the applicant glued to it.

I bet it's mostly my fault that Mexico City's timeline is 13 months since my case has been processing for 35 months now ¬__¬

oh edgarsitow....I feeling like a whiner when I complain that I haven't heard anything in the two months my file has been transferred and here you have been 35.....and yes your time frame would certainly make the average jump :P

Yikes! If I were you I would be booking the appt before she travels there, unless she has some family in Mexico city she can stay with. Usually you have to book atleast a week ahead, if I am not mistaken. I know for sure you deftinatly cannot just walk in..:(

Yes, very good point, there is tons of family in Mexico city so that wont be a problem. I should just talk directly with his daughter, it will make things easier lol ! I will get her to call and see what is available, thanks Leisa for the heads up about the wait time !

The SSP hours are 2pm-7pm, I am pretty sure. And it takes like 5 minutes. It looks like there are tons of people and it will take all afternoon, but they work really fast!

BUMP!! really??
so we wont be able to hand in the SSP to the embassy in person. :( we will have to mail it.
our only day left here is friday that my husband has off, so in the morning he will have to take some documents to the embassy, like copies of his new passport, medical redo receipt, and a prepaid waybill for the PGR. but he wont be able to get his SSP untill the afternoon when the embassy is now closed.
what a pain in the Butt!
Thanks for the heads up! i thought it would be open in the morning

Heyy, i was just reading the cic website about police certificates and this is a note i saw at the bottom

Note: These instructions are only for people who are not in Mexico. If you are in Mexico you must advise the visa office so that different instructions are provided to you.

When we sent our application my husband was in canada, he didnt leave untill a week before it was transfered to mexico city.
could this be why we havent received a request for pgr? because the embassy thinks he is still in canada

or would they know for sure he is in mexico now and not in canada anymore? he was a failed refugee but his date to leave was decided and scheduled after the app was already sent in stating our canadian address on it.

correct me if im wrong. cic would know he is now in mexico without us personally having to inform them correct? or no?

If you app has his address as a canadian address then they probably don't know leisap......the government does not cross-reference very well and if you have not updated his address to a mexican address on ecas then I would guess they don't know

okay because we put our current address as the living together address where we were living in vancouver at the time. than we put all our mailing addresses to my dads ranch in alberta. so that all our mail would go there, as we knew we would be leaving in a few months so we wanted to make sure the mail was sent to a reliable address in canada. so my ecase says current addres vancouver, and mailing address alberta and my spouses ecase only says mailing address alberta. but we didnt put any mexican address on there because we didnt know where we were gunna live once we got here. also i tried to update his address on ecase but it only allowed me to put a canadian address it wouldnt let me put an adress from a different country, so i just left it as my dads.

so should i email them and tell them he is in mexico. or on friday when we go to the embassy im dropping off a prepaid waybill for the PGR request, seeing as this waybill will say his mexico address, that should be good enough for them to send the pgr letter to the mexican address. and i shouldnt have to email them?
