I read a thread where someone ordered their notes, their notes said the application was pretty much completed and in ecas it still said app received only. :(

That sucks because inconsistency. But at the same time kind of makes me feel better because our ecase still only says app received. Maybe they will end up finishing ours and never update it!!

okay good!!!
thanks! :)
because its been 4 months since ours was transfered and i am sure hoping it wouldnt take 4 months to verify our relationship is genunine! haha.

i stopped checking mine for 2 weeks. than i got a feeling that it will change. so i started checking it again.. but of course it didnt.

i bet they wont even update yours before you get the visa!. they'll just send you the PPR probably by the end of august!! and you wont have to worry about ecase anymore!. ;D

You might not see anything until they either ask you for an interview/additional documents/passport request. I'm starting to believe that the only reason my application shows on eCas is because it was an appeal, so they had to update with a new file number.

End of August? Come on be a little more positive, how about next week? LOL! :P

Goodluck with your landing Canadiangirl, wishing you and your family a very happy and stress free day tomorrow! All the best :)

So it´s one bag free per person and then 25 for the first extra bag and 35 for the second extra?

And yes it is just too much hassle to get the transit visa and all that. We prefer to just go right to canada and not have to deal with anymore visas :D

No free bags.

So for anyone else with deportation that has to get RCMP check I found this company
http://www.commissionaires.ca/
the cost is $200 and they can take my husbands finger prints and make them digital and send to the RCMP and even with a criminal record it should take 3 weeks!! this is ammmmazzzzing for us because if we couldnt get digital it was going to take 120+ days
I wish i knew this sooner cuz ive been a nut job the past few days trying to figure this out
I had my poor husband going all over mexic trying to get his finger prints done and the document they were giving him were such a mess.. when I was talking to the contact at commissionaires about the documents the police gave him they couldnt believe it.. the police literally signed and stamped on top of my husbands finger prints.. it was bad .. there was no way the RCMP was going to accept "mexicos version" so I am so happy we have another way..
Fingers crossed it works out she is supposed to send my husband the canadian form tomorrow.. so if it all works we can save like 3 months of waiting!!!

yeah! mexico does some messy work when it comes to stuff like that!
im glad you found a website!!.
can i ask why your husband was deported?
mine was a failed refugee, and asked to leave, but i dunno if he will be asked for a rcmp check.
he got caught once for shoplifting 3 years ago, but was never charged he just did some community service and his record was whiped clean. i am under the impression if it was still on his record he would be asked for rcmp. but seeing as its wiped clean he shouldnt be

was your husband asked because of his deportation?? or because of something on his record?

thanks :)

Hi yes thats the same for my husband failed refugee... they decined his claim and then made him leave ... he doesnt have anything else on his record here or in mexico... I was told i would have 2 months extra for processing.. i would need some letter excusing him of the issue which would cost $400-500.. so far they have only asked for the RCMP ... the RCMP paperwork is pretty difficult being outside of the country.. also I thought it was hard to get a hold of CIC but even worse trying to get any contact from RCMP!

Actually sorry my case was different because they detained him in Canada.. so I think that’s why I need the RCMP.. was your husband detained if not your probably ok

I'm curious as to why so many people here are failed refugees? Do people go to Canada legitimately thinking they qualify as refugees and are misinformed? Or is Canada failing in it's duties? Or is it a last ditch effort to extend their stay in the country?
