haha yeah the buses are so slow though!.
to drive from puebla to GDL its only about 5.5 or 6 hours.
and when we take the bus its like 8hours!! haha.

but PV to GDL is more of a windy road. so i wouldnt suggest speeding it either haha.

you are living in PV now!! im so jealous. i love it there.
we tried to get my hubby a job there but no luck :(

Yes definitely very slow for sure but I prefer taking the bus here. Much safer than driving those windy roads in a little car in my opinion :) and I agree the buses are soooo nice, much nicer than in Canada! I was dreading our 5 1/2 hour bus ride to Guadalajara. We went there and back in the same day when we did our medicals and it was sooo nice and relaxing, so spacious, the chairs and foot rests were so comfortable. It was perfect! :) Now if only airlines would do that from Canada ----> Mexico lol.

Oh nice! And Happy Birthday!!

Yes the aquarium is nice and the malecon is cool, there are a bunch of little stores you can buy souveniers from. San juan de Ulua is neat, but it gets really really hot in there so bring some water!

You have to go visit the Parroquia Cafe (at the malecon) and try a lechera coffee they are famous all over Mexico for it! And the one on the malecon is nice because you can see the boats at the port.

You could also go check out the beaches...one called playa miami is nice...there´s a beach near the aquarium where all the people from mexico city go when they come here. I highly recommend not going there because it is really dirty and gross. Some people have gotten infections (eww!) and no one I know, who is from Veracruz will go to that beach! Everyone warned me about that place when I first got here. haha

Oh and there´s this restaurant called El buque near the centre of Boca del Rio, the food is kind of expensive but it is nice to go there for drinks (you can sit outside if you just go for drinks). The restaurant is on this old ship, and it´s also a museum.

Thanks!! im excited, ive heard lots of good things about Veracruz! my hubby is from veracruz, but he grew up in martinez de la torre, so hes only been to veracruz a couple times when he was a teenager.

okay good to know about san juan. (i heard it might rain over the weekend, but i assume its still hot even when it rains??)

oh yes! my friend was telling me about parroquia cafe!, i just looked at their website! we are going to go there for sure,

we were wondering which beachs are nice, so playa miami is the one to go to. not the one by the aquarium.. ew that sounds gross, were going to stay away from that one than, thanks for letting me know, we wouldnt of had any idea!

Oh nice that sounds like a cool place! we might just check it out!. what kind of food do they serve?

thanks so much for your help!! ;D

by any chance is the name of the restaraunt
la mera madre? this is the only one i can seem to find in boca del rio that looks like a boat! :)

Nope, this one is an actual boat and it´s actually in the water. I think the restaurant on it is called ¨Villa Rica¨ and they mostly have sea food but they also have pasta and stuff. Here it is:

Oh and about the rain it´s usually ridiculously hot (like over 40°C) during the day and then it rains really hard at night (it cools down a bit, but still really hot!). But you never know maybe it will rain during the day!

And pretty much all the beaches in Boca del Rio are good! Playa miami is in Boca del Rio.
