If it doesn't matter then I don't care. Just don't want them thinking I still live in California after my husband lands.

CIC only requires you to change your address if you have an open application. Yours was completed once your sponsorship was approved and Mr. canadiangirl78's was done once his CoPR was on its way to you. Now, they'll just need an address for him to send the PR to when he lands. Exciting times, eh?

We gave them his Canadian address with the passport. Yes I'm so excited! I keep forgetting and remembering. Feels good everytime.

Hello everyone,

Update for me on the spreadsheet is sponsor approval July 3.. we actually just got the letter in the mail yesterday but I called them last week about it..

So I was reading the posts about the security checks and I am still confused.. we havnt done any security checks and we didn’t send anything regarding police/security checks with our initlial application package.. did I mess that up??

My husband in is Playa del Carmen now.. he has his family in Mexico City.. hes lives in Mexico City, Playa del Carmen, and Montreal

Any advise on what I should be doing.. our papers were sent to Mexico July 3.. should I wait for them to ask me something or should I start doing something now to speed it up??

I will update the spreadsheet and congradulations !!!

You are suppose to provide the state police check with the intial application, but from what I have heard, when you are on to stage two its best to wait for them to request whatever is missing. My understanding is that they would not approve the 1st step if anything was missing so you should be fine, I would just wait for any requests from the VO. You will need to get a state police check from every state that he has lived in since he was 18. The federal certificate is issued in Mexico City, but double check with Nessa or some of the others that have been through it, he may be able to get everything from Cancun.
