Hi Everyone!
Need some help here...

My wife & I have yet to start the whole sponsorship process (we plan on getting started ASAP). We currently live together in my hometown: Mexico City. She's from Québec (that's where we intend on moving).

Is it absolutely necessary for my wife to get her 2011 taxes done (which she hasn't yet) in order to start the sponsorship??

Thanks!

Hello and welcome! Someone has posted this question a few times and I think the problem is that folks in here aren't very familiar with the Quebec-specific process and we don't want to mislead you. Perhaps you'll get more luck in the main forum. Good luck :)

Hi Oscar!

I don't think it's necessary, however don't take my word for it since I'm not very familiar with the Quebec process (even though I'm moving there after I land! :P )

Why don't you check this site?

I'm sure all the info has to be here.

Hi Everyone,

I am posting this every where I can think of, we are all frusturated with CIC and now is your chance to say something, if we all say something about the spousal sponsorship wait times we are more likely to get some answers, please follow the link, this is a way to get your voice directly to the immigration minister !

Well it's been a week and CIC hasn't replied to my email asking them what's up with my case....

I too emailed the embassy this week to see what the status was! No word yet, the interview was Mar 22, we thought there would be some word now! NOTHING!!!

We submitted constancia on 22 march and no reply yet from Mexico. I thought PPR took 3-4 weeks only after constancia. What is going on???

We just sent in the application! Now the waiting begins.

Congrats! I bet you are glad to be done with the hunting papers down and copying etc etc.... :D

Hi everyone...

We are almost ready to send the PR app ( hopefully by end of the month), however Im having some doubts about emails and phone calls to prove our relationship when we were dating. I lost all my emails on my laptop and neither my husband kept the emails. We used to skype every day since 2009 to 2011, however skype only shows calls history from last year.

Any advice in how to give more proofs. We are sending pictures with friends, family and from the wedding, also some travel tickets and my husband work permit and contract from when he was living in Mexico.

Thanks....

I am!! Sending it in feels like a huge weight lifted off our shoulders. I honestly tried my hardest to give them the best package possible, I hope they feel the same!!

How do I find out when our application is filed?

If you sent it through UPS or DHL or something like that then you can track the package and see when they sign for it. Otherwise you won´t know until you get sponosrship approval....sometimes they send you an email saying that it got there...but I didn´t get that email till like a month and a half after I sent the package. some people don´t even get an email they just have to wait for sponsorship approval.
