Has anyone gotten Pre-arrival or Decision Made lately? If so when did you apply? I'm 11 days away from reaching 12 months and haven't heard anything since March

It’s not about me being right at all , it’s about correct information . I’m not doubting your family member , and yes I’m sure the officer is aware that your notes are being requested , however to pay 5.00 fee to a privacy office to have what is ultimately yours or your spouses information , the VO can’t say we won’t give them to you , a lot of refunds will be given out if this is the case . I am currently a privacy officer for medical records .... same procedure to request these documents and a fee . If I ever told a person requesting notes that they couldn’t have them because it slows us down I would lose my job . So all I am saying is whoever told you that you may never get them was not telling you correct information. There are laws around these requests , and while it may take a while to get them , you will always get them and will always have a right to them
I work for an ehr company and couldnt agree more. Denying someone access to their chart is a big no no. Doesnt matter what info it is, as the person in the chart or record we cannot be denied

I definitely know about privacy officers, and I definitely know that your case worker is involved when there is a request for notes. I have a family member in a VAC. But sure - if you want to be right...
A vac is NOT a visa processing center with actual immigration officers. Its a place where people can go and get advice and fill in apps, send and receive documents from the actual visa office. Unfortunately requests for notes dont go through the vac, rather the privacy office nor does the vac have access to any application information

What makes you think so ? and what kind of updates do you believe ? I am really hoping the best for everyone on this forum. Wish we all could get PPR tmr ! Lol ! I'm trying to be as positive as I can but my God ! This is what you call a LONG WAIT.
Look, I think the logical is the date of passed medical exams, because My Friend passed on 12 FEB, aplied on 30 NOV and was file transfered to México on 5AUG (AOR date),
I aplied 26 NOV (before her), my applicaton was transfered on 5 AUG too, buuuut I Just passed medical exams on 13 March. And... Why they will use this logical? Because our issue to enter on Canada is 365 days (1 year) after the aprovation medical exams.

There is anoter factors changing this, but I believed that today the people that approved on 7 March received PPR ... got it?

HI , We have a similar timeline, I'm a nov 14th 2018 applicant. Last request was for an updated PCC as well ! Hopefully whats next is PPR !! Let's keep our fingers crossed Does your Gckey say " background check started " ??
My application is very straightforward, been together for a long time now , no dependents, no previous marriages , no criminal record... Really ready for this process to be over so I can be with my husband for Christmas
Nope on my GCkey still shows background has not started so I don’t know. I wish you luck and definitely hope our spouses will be with us by Christmas will be the best present ever

Hi everyone, I'm new here but I'm hoping I can get some feedback from you! I'm sponsoring my husband from Cuba, and the application was received Jan 21st, 2019. In GCKey, the background check shows its been in progress since May (this was when I first linked the application to my online account). I ended up reaching out to my MP in early July as I never received any updates from IRCC. She told me that IRCC had actually requested Biometrics in May, which I never received any notifications for. After my MP went back to them, they informed her that they added too many periods in my email address so that's why I never received the request. How does that happen?? Shortly after, they "re-sent" the request and my husband flew out to Guyana to have that done. Last week I called IRCC to get a status, and they let me know that the application is still at the Case Processing Centre in Nova Scotia. 8 months in and the application hasn't moved anywhere?

Does this seem normal?
