I want to know what is going on with Mexico VO.....

I am seeing some ARRANGED marriages getting PPR faster and they submitted applications MONTHS after us. It seems unfair.
How is this even possible? Arranged marriages are being approved faster than longstanding, traditional, uncomplicated, well documented marriage cases with 0 dependents (some with babies on the way,)? I also see someone got PPR who "met on social media" - and have no references from friends as to the validity of the marriage. How is this possible vs long standing, uncomplicated, well documented cases?


I am also seeing places from overseas getting processed much quicker than any Central American nation going through Mexico. If they have a system to process people from North Africa, Philippines, or India so quickly, why are similar processes not implemented for Mexico VO as well?

Are there enough agents? Are they overloaded? Are the agents paid on a typical Mexican salary?
(Wages in Mexico averaged 241.43 MXN/Day from 2000 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 373.60 MXN/Day in February of 2019)
-tradingeconomics . com .... // that means workers make around $25 per day. That's likely what CDN Visa Officers make per HOUR here. Does poor wage = less productivity?

I am not in any way trying to be rude or sound ungrateful about anything, these are just legitimate questions I have about the state of Mexico Visa Office and the protocol for processing applications via Mexico City VO. Many of the people with Central American PA's have applications averaging a processing time of 13-30 months!

I'm only starting my process but I submitted feedback, just comparing by all the threads I read how it is clear that the Mexico VO is no keeping up. I think that everyone should submit their feedback and hopefully that will bring some change.

I think the feedback should be to stop adding more and more countries to be processed in one visa office. This is the issue, while Mexico has always been slow, they are really falling behind because from my research at least 4 vow have closed and those apps are now in Mexico VO.
If the Canadian government wants to add more work they also in turn need to add more officers to complete the work.
That’s going to be my feedback once all is said and done

Its almost my ten months and i still didnt get no email or no update about background check been started.
I am getting so frustrated with the waiting.

It's all a big waiting game. I swear, not knowing what's going on is more frustrating than the actual waiting. Hang in there

Not even your notes tell you anything lol . The good news is we are halfway to the finish line . I must admit the silence drives me nuts , the not knowing what to do . We were trying to decide if I should visit again or just save the money and wait .

Just my humble opinion .... Visit if you can. Live your life. Money will come again. You'll remember the moments more than anything.
People questioned me in a different thread "why would I get pregnant before the application was submitted"
.. well, we are married; and it was sort of a miracle it happened.. but, regardless, I wasn't going to let something like this application get in the way of things if I could help it.

(even though it is totally running my life now, because I cannot be with my husband when I have the baby) -- but if you can visit, do it! I physically cannot fly right now or else I would still be there with him. Definitely. I give up a ton of work in Canada to be with him in Central America as much as possible throughout the years. I stayed up until I hit the 32 week mark. I don't even question it. You'll get the money back. That's my humble opinion, if I could just fly there and be there, I would in a heart beat - but I physically can't right now.

It will be over soon , and we will all be reunited

We just figured it’s better at this point to wait. 7 months in and we are looking at 2 flights when him and my son arrive ..... too rich for our blood right now haha . Much rather save that extra flight money for a huge welcome home party

Yes it is....I would like to take vacation then travel back with my husband; however I don't know when to book since we don't know when we'll hear anything. I swear, the uncertainty sucks more than the waiting itself

One year?!? Have you called your MP? Ordered your file notes? I will be so upset if mine goes over 1 year. I want my husband here by Christmas!
