Hi Lisa,

My app is approaching the one year mark and I am afraid that my case will be over one year as well.

Have you tried to talk to Mexico VO and explain that your case is now over the one year mark? If yes, have they replied to you?

I m just trying to understand which actions can take when my process reaches the one year mark. I am going to bother as many people as I can to get it done - VO Mexico, MP, IRCC, etc
It is insane how IRCC treat app from Latin America ! All other VOs are much faster

In a week, we will have reached the 12 months mark. Still stuck at Background Check not started !!! What can be wrong ??? Our Vo is Mexico City !!!

OMG we are exactly in the same boat!
In 3 weeks my app completes 1 year and BCG has not started yet.
Not sure if VO Mexico will be able to finish our app before the one year mark

Did you talk with Mexico VO? Did they give you any explanation why they were not able to finish your app in one year ?

hey. We got pre arrival Jan 16. And then asked for status update at end of January. They said we were queue for interview??? Did not make sense. Have not heard anything since. My lawyer does not want to say anything so I went to MP today. He was amazing!!! Took all my information and is sending today for an update. So hopefully we will hear something in the next few days. Also ordered notes Feb 1 so hoping they will come as well. This whole process has been very confusing. Just hoping it comes to an end this month. I’ll let you know.

Received notes. Relationship/marriage is genuine. They want interview because of none accompanying dependents? What does that mean? It was in our original app that my husband will come here and get settled and then bring children. Has anyone heard this before?

I have never heard of that , but I do know a lot of PA come to Canada first , get settled financially , get a job and then sponsor the children. Your plan makes perfect sense and really responsible to be honest. Maybe they just want to clarify your plans around the children? I think they could have done without an interview for that . Wishing you the best of luck , it will all work out

Usually they are every three months. I have a friend who was told she is in que for interview as well. Her app was one year late January . No dates given yet

I’m so frickin sick of this whole process. Can’t wait till it’s over!!!
