I think we will have more progress in about 3 months from now.
So far so good i read all the notes and all seems well :)

I think due date is when they will "revisit" your file? If they requested documents they put a due date on there? I'm hoping someone can confirm this... ahmmm calling sneakydriver.... :)

Every section in the GCMS notes has a due date including requested documents. That due date is under "Application Assignment". But there are a whole bunch of other due dates which are for me 2017/12/20 for most.

Me too same date.
I hear most people end of 2016 are getting their PR like september oct applicants :)

I hope you're right about this because the due date on my notes is Jan 18-2018, With is a long time to go still and if the file is to be review by that time means we would have been in proccess for more that a year.

Your PR will not be affected by trying to get a visa. You can try to get it. It helps if you have a good job, property, children that will not travel with you to show that you will return. Also helps if you have visas to or history of traveling to developed countries and returning (Europe, US, etc. )
The worst that will happen - you'll get refused and lose the visa fee.

Hello Melthy,

I can't believe that I applied for the TRV and I got probe! it took 7 days. I thought I would not get it because I am still in the process of sponsorship application, I am so happy that I will have the chance to visit my husband for our 1st wedding anniversary. This trip will distract me a little bit of the PR application. :)

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can send supporting documents such as marriage certificate for a TRV to Mexico VO in Spanish from the Dominican Republic or if it has to be in English or French?

All documents have to be in English or French. The visa office doesn't matter. I'm sponsoring my spouse from the dominican republic as well and we had to translate all the documents going to the Mexico VO.

I mean for a Visitor Visa, I know you needed to translate all documents for a sponsorship application.

I was thinking the same as you and to be honest it surprised me too but as you say I got lucky I think is because on my explanation letter I literally begged them to give me the visa lol

When applying for a visitor visa while having a permanent residency application in I heard you need to write dual intent in the application. If thats the case does anyone know where you would mention that?

When I applied for the visitor visa, I just filled out the form and the document that they required ( my case weeding certificate, invitation letter from my husband "notarized" , his birth certificate, travel history, proof of financial documents, travel itinerary, proof of medical results,)

On the form I had to put my UCI number and on the supporting document I wrote a letter of explanation letting them know I am already applying under the category family sponsorship and also i told them the reason I wanted to go to Canada. "that worked for me, I didn't have to do too much because I used the same info of my PR application."
