i dont think so for the inverview ... that's an overload and they simply do nothing to fix it. that's what it is.
I wouldn't get why suddenly they would request an interview and asked us nothing else.

Agent was lately telling me that they are still on Background check of PA. .... Yeah right 6 months ?!?
is none sense, all the trips she did were together and regionals. Honduras / Guatemala.

They can request an interview at any time ! Every case is different and cic may not request further docs but request an interview . You never know until it happens . Also an interview is also not always a bad thing

i think they are in total panic at IRCC at the moment....so far they haven't requested a thing in my case.

We are on 8th month, Sydney still , and nothing asked , nothing has moved. (Since April 2019) and it happened to tons of ppl.... since April almost nothing has moved , is not normal no matter what they say when you call.

It def won't be finished by 12 months, and we also have to pass from provincial undertake in quebec CSQ (45-60 days), which i can't even send a thing at the moment waiting for this letter of transfer and invite.

Oh that sucks. I am so sorry. So many people in the same boat. We have no idea what is coming next for us. Just hoping it is NOT an interview, as those require another trip to Trinidad and about a 6-7 month wait if we are lucky.

Urgh another trip . I really hope you don’t have to do that . It’s all getting really expensive , we are hoping that we don’t have to renew medicals , wishing you the best of luck

Having my doubts still, that could def be true. nothing has moved since May-June around, we are a lot having our case "held" at Sydney and now this news arrive, Heum. Suspicious. Cause i've heard of this provincial decreasing to 40 000 cases in 2019( which represents a 20% in minus) from the "CAQ" gov of quebec but... the fact i didnt know was IF the sponsorship were touched by it.

And that would exactly matches why we are kept on hold.

I remember in May agents were telling , "yes you gonna be sent to mexico in the next weeks and then you'll be able to apply CSQ" and then nothing about it since months.

I just think you need to stay positive and stop stressing about every little step . A lot of us are over a year and yes we are frustrated but remain positive . Just keep positive and know this can’t last forever

i'm not stressing out after the timing , i just wanna understand if we are touched (family sponsorship) by this measure simply, a clear answer.

We have the right to know according to me as Quebec has different way than any other province to process things.

Apr 16 - Request for Medicals
May 8 - Medical appt, but everything shut down in Havana that day.
June 11 - AOR3 - Mexico
June 11 - request for updated police certificates, background Schedule A's, military service. All provided by early July.
Aug 22 - Medicals (we had to wait until my stepson was out of the army so he could travel overseas to Trinidad to get the medicals)
Sept 1 - Medicals passed
Nothing since - and on the GC Key no update except for Medicals passed (not even SA that I got back in Jan).

The flights from Havana leave Cuba on Tuesdays and there is one flight back, on Saturdays. You can make the appointment in advance, and the medical takes only one day there, so there is no reason your husband can't go on a Tues and come back on the Sat.
