Hi everbody,

I hope you can help and advice me. We landed as immigrants 1n June 2009 and our PR card will expire in July 2014. I had just entered a medical school in the UK when we landed and I will have to do another 3 years before I get my medical degree. Obviously I cannot leave before that. And my PR card would have expired by then. I plan to do my residency training in Canada.

I will appreciate your advice. Should I write to the officials explaining my situation or should I land before the card expires and then explain my situation to the immigration officer

Thanks in advance

There's no point in writing to anyone.

You should really try to return before your card expires. However there's no guarantee you'll be able to save your PR status.
