My application for inland common law sponsorship took 14 months to get decision made status (May 2012 - July 2013. Almost immediately the status on my permanent residence was set to decision made. They have never asked for a medical - is that unusual? I have not been contacted yet about the landing interview. Thanks for any help.

Nope, the IO can request that the medical be extended for 12 months if that is the only outstanding item before "landing"

Just a clarification - you NEVER had a medical (not even before you sent your PR application), or you had one before you sent the application to vegreville and have not heard anything about it after that?

If you haven't done medical even once for this application, I would suggest you contact CIC and ask about it coz chances are on your landing interview if they find it missing, it is going to push your processing time longer.
