medical condition-Hepa B

I've noticed Beauty's inquiry regarding this subject remains unanswered. I too have the same question and I do hope you can enlighten both of us about it.

Is there a possiblity that the visa for PNP would be denied if the applicant or dependent had contacted the Hepa B virus (years back) even if that person never discontinued his /her work and is now maintaining a healthy/ normal life?

Letter of approval from the Province had already been granted to us and we had submitted the same along with other documents to the Canadian Embassy here in our country for our Permanent Residence visa approval. Now, we are just waiting for the schedule of our medical test in few months time..

Would there be any considerations concerning this medical virus? Do we need to request for an interview w/ the concerned embassy explaining the present medical condition of the carrier?

actually...i'm still waiting for the medical appointment..it it might take some time...my relatives in Canada are positive though, that is not a problem since they heard of such cases..who had been approved regardless of that medical condition...we'll let's pray for that..

beauty...just like to let u know that my visa has been approved...and i'm flying next week to Canada. Don't worry about your medical condition for as long as you can prove that you had the virus from way back, which only proves that you are presently healthy and capable of working. We all know that the virus cannot be eliminated totally from the blood, however your test result would most likely be negative if you had it years back. You may check your designated MP on how to deal w/ it. In my case London ofc only asked for a supplement letter from a certified hepatologist that I am now in my clean bill of health.

Don't worry about it, God is good, Have faith..in 1-2 months after your medical your waiting will be over.. God bless..

its great to hear a good news from you. you give me hope and inspiration.. how's ur medical? did they refer you to a specialist to check ur ok? are you the principal applicant? my husband is a principal applicant but worried bec he's on medication right now will this be a big problem? thank you for sharing ur good news... good luck in canada....

Firstly, you must be familiar with the medical terms being used to analyze this virus;you must check out all internet sights that deals with this medical condition. When i learned all these stuff I realized having this condition is not a big deal after all for as long as you can maintain a healthy lifestyle, you will live like a normal healthy human being. It is not a life threatening disease unlike HIV virus and Hepatitis C.
It is just not clear to me if your husband is still in the treatment process since like you said he's taking his medication. Once a person has that disease, it will take him 6 months to develop the antibodies, meaning the virus would still be active and visible in his system until later months.
So I think, but don't take my word for it...it is not advisable to undergo the medical tests for the time being, if you are uncertain that your husband will be tested positive for Hepa B. As for me, I wasn't sure then what the test results would reveal ...yet I found out that result was negative and the antibodies are already present in my system since I had it years back. The test proved that no further treatment is necessary. If you want your husband to be tested for the Hepa B history it will cost you around US$500. But at least you would be knowledgeable as to the status of the virus..if it still active or non reactive......you can check out all the medical terms being used for this test on the internet sites...

im from Philippines and you are? my husband is on treatment , he developed antibodies and his hbeag turn negative but the virus is still present in his body but in a below range of the test. so his doctor adviced him for continues treatment for the virus to be inactive. he's next hbv dna test schedule is on feb next year so, we didnt know if the virus is still there or inactive. were hoping for a good result. You mean, youre positive on hep b and had the virus and now, youre cured? does it mean there's no chance if you test positive on the medical exam? is it automatic rejection? we just submitted our application and on a waiting process for approval. hoping if when the time comes my husband is already cleared... thanks... good luck.

my husband tested positive for hepa b so he was referred to a specialist to undergo additional tests... all of these were done and his medical were already submitted last december, he was hbe ag negative and only small amount of viral load... a few days ago we receive a letter from embassy for additional test, repeat sgpt / sgot... what does this indicate... we're quite worried that we might be refused ...

i am quite familiar with your case.recently my spouse has also been told she has hepatitis b when she underwent her immigration medical exams in december.i have applied under the sinp skilled worker.i inquired to the embassy in port of spain trinidad if her condition would affect the application and they said her medicals are satisfactory.since then we are waiting for passport request since medicals forwarded a month ago.god is good,just leave things in his hand and he will find a way.no need to worry about it.hope this helps

i got the same case as yours, my spouse also has hepa b... my AINP nomimation (employer driven) was approved last nov 2009. now im applying for PR in buffalo. right now we are still waiting for our file number and medical request.
i got few questions to ask hope you could shed some lights..
did you tell the DMP that your spouse have hepa b before the test or they just found it out after the med result?
did they told you to see some medical specialist to chect the status of the hepatitis b?
hope u could give me and others some more information regarding this particular matter...

actually it was after the medical exam that she was told she had hep b.she never knew she had it until she did her medical exams on november 2009 and then on december 12 2009 she got call from dmp saying to come by the office and there she was told she has hep b.quite a shoker at this stage in application.also the dmp referred her case to a liver specialist and she has an appointment with that doctor on july 20th 2010 to also check status of the hep b.no further medicals exams required by visa office,medicals are said to be satisfactory.i hope this helps

so does that mean they will look after or finalize ur case only after july?
but really happy to hear that your med result is satisfactory....
