Hello, I am sponsoring my husband for a permanent residence. His application was rejected for the following reason:
Translation of Documents
You must send the following for any document that is not in English or French:
the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation (see IRCC website for
details); and
a certified copy of the original document.
I live abroad at the moment, and the translator that translated the documents is certified in the country in which I live in.
He included the following for each translation:
- Affidavit, with his stamp
- translation with his stamp
-a photocopy of the original paper with his stamp
- and I included a photo of the original copy
Am I missing something? Do we need to have the original copy notarized? Is it not the same as the stamp of the certified translator?
Thank you,
