I received my test invitation today.

Applied: 12 May 2014
Fingerprint request: 1st week of Dec, submitted FP immediately
Test: 6 Feb 2015.
Local office: Scarborough

Hi there,
would you mind telling us the exact date of finger print request and when you submitted and when CIC got them
I have friend who also got finger prints around November, but no response after that.

I got the FP request from St Clair, although my test is in Scarborough.

My citizenship application is under process and the timeline is as follows:
Application Sent: Sept 15
AOR Received: Jan 16

My passport is expiring in a couple of months time, and I will be attaining a new passport;
Do I need to provide updates to CIC about the new passport that will be attained and does this affect the citizenship process in any way?

Hi All,

After so many days, I called CIC today. The agent is so nice and he answered all my questions.

He told me that I cleared all three Background checks - immigration/police and Secret Service ( may be RCMP - he means).

Application is right now in Scarborough office. It reached Scarborough as of Nov 19th, 2014

Some news is better than no news.

Today I received notice to write citizenship test and oath ceremony the same day.

This is my processing time:

May 23, 2014 --- Application sent to Sydney, NS
May 26, 2014 --- Application received at CIC Sydney
July 25, 2014 --- CIC Processing starting
Aug 27, 2014 --- AOR and Booklet received at home
Jan 19, 2015 --- Notice to write citizenship test
Feb 10, 2015 --- Citizenship test, interview & oath ceremony the same day.

You don't need to notify CIC about your new passport and it won't affect your citizenship process. Make sure to take all the passports when requested.
