Can anyone please advise me here if I need to submit all pages of passport OR just the biographical pages? My new passport ( 6 months old) does not have any exit/entry stamps however my old / expired passport has many. I will submit application package next week. (Now I already have 1,100 days within last 4 years. Sending 2 weeks later just to be safe count wise)

The checklist asks for biographical pages, but some people have submitted all pages of the passport. I guess it's up to you what you choose to do. In my case, I sent just the biographical pages.

It's not a matter of guessing, but a matter of fact. The fact is what's required. What's required is ONLY the bio-page. Please do not interpret the guide; rather, just follow what it instructs.

I agree, but the problem is some applicants don't even bother reading the guide or maybe they don't even know there is a guide, so they come here saying " I hear someone saying we need to do this" or I read somewhere that someone submitted that" when you tell them what's in the guide they don't believe you because they've heard too many different scenarios. If the person asking this question about the pages of passport had read the guide , he would have had a crystal clear answer: JUST THE BIO PAGES. Instead they keep on asking the same question again and again. Also I see sometimes the same question/post in different threads. Do they think that different groups read different threads?? why ask the same question 10 times if you already have an official answer in the CIC website??

Since we're on the BMW (b*tch, moan, whine) front, I'd say this is a bunch of ridiculousness, too. There's no need for "safe" application -- you were here or you weren't. If you've included the presence calculator output, and you've included all your absences, there's no reason to wait, etc.

Besides... if you're going to wait, make sure you date your application appropriately. They don't care as much about the postmark as they care about the date you signed things... and the date the pictures were taken (I believe they had to be within 90 days?). Just make sure the postmark is AFTER the date you signed everything.

Exactly! If you've been here long enough, the "safe" doesn't make sense and won't do you any good. Why? Because you'd better make sure you include every single trip into your online calculator. Otherwise, if by any slight chance they'd find any discrepancy (where you think those safe days would come to play), you will get RQ for sure, no matter it's at the first stage or after you take the test.

From the experiences here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqi6FPDNYK_xdGplaHhxWFhVQkxFTjB5LUZ2anU2clE&usp=sharing

it appears as though it's about a month to six weeks right now for "In Progress" -- not sure if it shows up there before then.

Hey bsz. From the spreadsheet (for application in 2014), I noted that you have received ecas IP update 13 days after you sent your application to Sydney! Good for you.. Is this your second time that you have been applying or your father works for cic (JK)?

Just out of curiosity, what kind of courier did you send your package with that delivered it in 1 day from Vancouver to Sydney?

Dear Exparts,, pls advise if some one submit LINC certficate ( linc class on 2013-2014) to prove english for citizenship, should he/she submit transcript or class attendance report??
Also on application form ,,should we mention LINC class attendance date on work/education section???
if some one did babysitting for 3 months when she was homemaker,,should she mention on application :

2010-06-01 to 2010-12-30 : Baby sitting / Home maker
or
2010-06-01 to 2010-09-30: Baby sitting
2010-06-01 to 2010-12-30: home maker

Your advise will be highly appreciated.

See the guide here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0002ETOC.asp
Proof of achieving Canadian Language Benchmark/Niveau de competence linguistique canadien (CLB/NCLC) level 4 or higher in speaking and listening skills through certain government-funded language training programs are:

•Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC or CLIC): Check the box if you successfully completed the course at CLB4/NCLC 4 or higher from January 2008 to October 31, 2012 and provide a copy of the certificate if available. If you successfully completed the LINC or CLIC course since November 1st, 2012, a certificate will be provided to you. A copy of this certificate is required. Note that completion of LINC or CLIC before 2008 does not qualify for proof of language ability.

2. If you were taking LINC classes at any time in the relevant 4 year period, I would mention it under the work/education section.

3. was the baby sitting a paid job? Or were you home taking care of your children? If it was not a job, then "homemaker" is appropriate because it includes taking care of your own home and children. In that case, I would go with "2010-06-01 - 2010-12-30".

If the babysitting was paid, then it would be good to break it down and specify the dates you worked and to provide the name of the employer whose kids you took care of.

Hope this helps!

There is no right or wrong way of providing the information, as long as it easy to understand and accurate. If she worked for 4 months, then I don't see a problem with how you wrote it in your first post. That is:

"2010-06-01 to 2010-09-30: Baby sitting
2010-06-01 to 2010-12-30: home maker"

Did she pay taxes on it or declare this money on her taxes? I don't know if it will be a problem if she did not declare it, but you can ask a lawyer. May be others can comment on it.

yes, she declared that money (from babysitting) in her tax . so is it Ok?

one more thing: is it better to write self employed i/o baby sitting??
