Hi,
I am opening this thread for May' 2013 applications. Please share your experience and update the following spreadsheet.

I will be sending my application hopefully next week. Just waiting for the NOA for year 2012 which was assessed by CRA on April 25.

Hello There

I am planning to apply too.. all forms are ready and waiting for NOA , but i was told it takes too long, 2-3 months to be sent to us from CRA?!

Hi, I am planning to apply under CEC class through Saskatchewan, Bit confused finished under student category 1 year work experience should be under 1 employer or can be multiple employers, 5 months of experience under NOC 0, I am presently working under NOC A from past 8 months, will i be eligible for CEC class or i have to wait to finish 1 year of work experience under same employer. Other option i can apply under SINP but it is time consuming to get the job approval letter, Please let me know.

Byrichetti..can you please clarify your question...Any work done while you are a student in Canada will not be counted towards your skill work experience requirement in CEC category.

Work done after graduation and with appropriate work permit will be counted

To Lucky_CA, All the work experience gained after graduation, but from two different employers, but i am not working in my field of study, Will i be still eligible ? Thank You for all your help. :)

You don't have to work in your field of study to be eligible under CEC

According to CEC January 2013 new rules, If you have more than one year full-time (30 hrs/week) experience or part-time equivalent in the past three years from the date of your application received, you can apply. It doesn't matter, how many employer you worked with to gain that 1 year experience. But, you have to make sure you provide employer reference letter from each of them to claim your experience.

Also, you have to make sure, you did the work with Post-graduation work permit or any other closed work permit. Any work done while your status in Canada was student , will not be counted in those 1 year qualifying experience.

agree with vijayarr, as long as you did your work in NOC skill level 0,A or B, it should be fine.

You can work as a Financial Analyst while being graduated from Mechanical Engineering
