Hi Urgent reply needed please ..

i got finger print request.. it says you can do finger prints at your local Rcmp or through Rcmp accredited agency..
which one is faster ?
where to do
please reply asap i really appreciate
You can arrange to have them taken through:

  • your local police service
  • the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
  • an RCMP-accredited fingerprint company
Hi, Mash, I also got FP request letter yesterday, just checking with you if you got a similar format letter, or maybe mine is different ??

the letter was a bit long 4-pages English\Frenchm and start by statement saying"After reviewing the biographical information on your application form, there are questions in your case with regard to sections 21 and/or 22 of the Citizenship Act, explained further on the second page of this letter"
I have no criminal records of whatsoever, and never went to the police even for car accident just the letter format & contents worries me

  3. We started processing your application on September 30, 2019.
  4. We sent you correspondence on October 9, 2019. (Fingerprint Request)
  5. Finger Print done: 11 Oct
I am from Calgary.
Dear Abubakar, I got FP request letter yesterday, I am concerned whether this is a standard-format letter or mine is different, so just inquiring if you got a letter starting with below paragraph,
"After reviewing the biographical information on your application form, there are questions in your case with
regard to sections 21 and/or 22 of the Citizenship Act, explained further on the second page of this letter.
To proceed with your application, you must have your fingerprints taken within thirty (30) days of the
date of this letter"

@SAM2000 my letter looked just like yours. Often it's if our name or some of our info matches a criminals then they want to double check our identity. Nothing to worry about.

I had the letter with exact wording. Don’t worry about this too much. Think of this as some donation to the government. I have never been to a police station myself and i also hold a very secure and strong passport( Australia ). Let’s see what else this dumb department has in store for us.

Hello,

I wrote my citizenship test 28th October, 2019.

I scored 20/20 in the test but during the interview the lady was very friendly. She told me everything was fine and correct but they need a security check for me. I asked why? She said is system generated.

Anybody know why and how long will it take? Any help will be appreciated
Did u have finger print request as of yet ? before u did test did u get fp request ?

Thanks for your feedback ,,, I do live in Toronto, but FP is to be sent to IRCC Vancouver as stated in the letter , I believe this too is a standard

Any idea whats the wait time from test to oath ceremony?
Anybody from Calgary recently wrote test? Any idea whats the wait time from test to oath ceremony?

My test is on Nov 1 and hoping to finish oath ceremony before Dec 20. Given the timelines, it seems a bit of stretch. I am leaving the country on Dec 20 for studies. Do you guys recommend to talk to officer during interview and request for oath invitation before Dec 20?
Any response on this? Is telling them about leaving the country for studies a good idea? I am just trying to avoid flying across atlantic just to attend this oath ceremony in the middle of my studies.

Look on page 1 of this thread. Bottom comment. There are multiple tabs for each month.
