Congrats to those getting SA's....and not that I'm glad to hear about the inconsistencies in CIC's process...but at least it gives those who applied in June some hope (some haven't received AOR's as well). YAY!!

it will say "Decision Made' under sponsorship
When you click on it it will further say when they sent correspondence. For my case, i got ecas update on the same day i got the SA email. For most, they update about 3-5 days . Some get the email after a week. CiC is not consistent so keep checking. May i know your timeline? And from where is your spouse from? Goodluck to all of us! :)

I'm actually the one being sponsored and I'm from Michigan. My husband lives in Toronto.

We had our App Received May 25th, AOR on June 26 (apparently lol), and DM on July 20th.

I'm scared though, because I got my medical done in October because I was naive and had no idea the Criminal Background Check was going to take 6 months :( I hope I get an extension...

I have heard many people say the medical can be extended by the CIC.

My husband was living in Michigan after he left the Marine Corps and I am originally from Toronto. I'm sponsoring him.

I guess most May applicants will be entering the long dark period now, especially those of us transferred to CPC-Ottawa. We'll be unlikely to see any movements for another 7 months or so. Here's hoping it goes faster than that, though!

This long wait just makes me too nervous, I really hope I provided enough proof for our common-law status, or that they request more information if they feel it is lacking and don't outright reject the application. We were unable to provide a joint lease but did provide a lot of proof otherwise (common-law declaration, bills and letters with both our names, rent receipts, addition of my partner onto my insurance policy as benefactor, pictures, boarding passes, etc)... I just hope it satisfies whoever is looking over our application!

Its been one week my sponser calling the CIC .. They are telling him that we are 20 May applicant , we must take an answer till today or tomorrow. Today my husband called again the CIC , a very nice woman answered him. She told him that they are working on 25 May applicant, but we are 20 May, so she wants to know some info.from him about his birth place and like that. Then she told him that they didn't even opened our file, so the lady told him that she will send a letter to know why they didn't opened our file until now
I very desperate so my husband

have you received your AOR, at least?

No . We didn't received it .. Maybe that I didn't done my medical exams ? That's the reason ?

AOR should come first, before they even get to informing you that Medical is required. So, as the agent said on phone, they haven't even opened it for some reason. Good she sent a letter asking. Frustrating.

My wife and I are also getting frustrated wondering why my SA seems to be slower than the others around us. On phone last Friday the agent said they are still working on it so no decision made yet. :-\

The medical would not be holding it up. Did you get a signature when you sent it?

I'm glad they are sending an inquiry for you, Honestly when they are not consistent with
sending the AOR's as with myself and some others that never received an email letting us
know, its very hard to wait until after the time passes on the processing times page.

I hope they find out quickly whats going with your application Telia

sorry to hear that. but good thing you guys phoned CIC already.

On what my signature should be done?

No I mean, when you sent it , did you request that someone at CIC sign for receiving the documents.

Hey folks, just checking to see if any other July 20 DM's or later have gotten their email or letter yet? We still haven't received anything (aside from ECAS changing from in process to decision made) and the last time that we called we got someone unhelpful (go figure). I'm fairly sure that we got SA, so that's not my concern - but, my health insurance lapsed (I came on a work permit and it has since expired while waiting for my visitor permit to be approved) and they can't reinstate it until I have a letter showing that my sponsor has been approved, apparently. It'll take 4-6 weeks to be processed once I send that in, so I'm anxious to get that going!

I got IN PROCESS in my ecas today, they started processing my app july 24.

. I was PPR july 23. They received my passport july 27.

Hoping for DM soon!!! Thank your Lord!
