• Decision to withdraw your application.

You have the option to withdraw your application at any point in the process. You will be refunded the RPRF if you have already paid it.

i am 3 weeks ahead of you and also i had the same status

can you share what you sent to CIC?

did they request any documents from you? or request RPRF?

I sent my application package to cic they received on sep 6

I paid PRPF after medical n they received it. they didn't asked for any other document yet.

i paid RPRF with the processing fee on July 2013 ..

i really dont know why it is taking that time without any update ..

i contacted them on January 28 and i got a reply on Jan 30, that:

your file is in ottawa for processing and will be reviewed by one of our officers.

Medical Received:
We have received your medical results.
Case Status:
An officer will be in contact with you in due course. in the meanwhile, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for your status to our office.

yeah let's hoe the best..

but your reply is not exactly the same generic one i got ..

they mentioned they reviewing application upon date of receiving .. they did not mention that in my email

I know the feeling of waiting too long. What I understand is that they don't recommend to make a follow up regarding your status. Our experience with the updates on ECAS is that it only change to medical received. It didn't go through status "in process" and luckily skip to DECISION MADE....Here is our time line
1. November 2012 - Sent application
2. June 2013 - Application for SINP application were approved
3. September 2013 - Medical request
4. October 10, 2013 - Medical received
5. December 17, 2013 - additional docs required - RCMP criminal records
6. January 27, 2014 - additional docs received
7. February 27, 2014 - passport request / ECAS UPDATE: DECISION MADE...
Be patient..waiting is tedious but it is more tedious when your waiting for your passport to return with VISA on it....hehehe...

i agree with you that sometimes ECAS is not updated ..

but as i see in your timeline that you had communication with CIC after medical received (Additional document requests) which is missing in my case .. i hope it means that they do not want any documents
