Did CIC confirm that to you, or doest it say that on their website anywhere?

I'm a bit nervous because things here with my current employer are really shaky. They are down to about 65 guys( out of 95-100 people) in the past few months.

Do not be nervous .....

Even my organization had employee cuts four times in past 10 months and we have come down from 251 to 240.

Get BOWP first.....then it will be good.. it will not affect your application ..........

BUT if you switch your company before BOWP, CIC may ask for LMO for new application. I have seen couple of people getting new LMO with new employer when they change during the application process.

Even when there is a Buy Out (Big Company Buys yours), LMO is required from BIG company. Service Canada gives this LMO in 2 weeks as they do not do the Check Company History etc.....

It will be faster in Canada too! They worked on rotation basis during the strike.

May be I am first one in this thread who received Decision Made.........BUT I have seen many who had already received PR within 12 months of their application.

I believe that by the year end, you will also get your stuff done.

Honestly, that's your call. If it has a validity, you could wait or renew.
