OH MY GOD!!!!

I just got a email from London!!! This means they MUST have my file!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy *censored word*!

They have requested that I send them a police report again. Not sure why since I did include the original in the initial application. Maybe that is expired now? Who knows.

So happy for you. Congrats!

ecas finally changed

"We received your application for permanent residence on May 17, 2012.

We started processing your application on November 29, 2012.

Medical results have been received."

We got the PPR email on November 29th. Does that mean they sent the PPR the DAY they opened it...?

Maybe! I got my PPR from Ottawa Oct. 19 but still don't have my CoPR. So maybe if the file looks ok they are deciding to jump right to PPR. Congrats!

Our ECas changed to "Decision Made" yesterday, Dec 4th. So hopefully things are good so my wife gets her COPR.

I believe what this means is that they'll mail the COPR so she can land as a PR? Can anyone tell me what happens next?

Thanks!

When PR comes through, she will have to come into Canada to officially land. They'll take her info when she lands and a PR card will come in the mail.

She'll need to register for a social security number and that's it! :) Congrats.

No email or call regarding the decision made though, eh? Ours changed to decision made on on December 3rd but we still haven't heard or received anything. I think this is the most anxious I've been so far.

The next thing, for me, from the DM on eCAS on Nov 14ish was a phone call from DHL on Nov 29 (they attempted a delivery on 28th but did not know the buzz # and thus no delivery). CoPR was issued on Nov 8.

Good to know! I told my parents to keep a look out for the mail back at home. Just some more waiting. yay!

Did I just break a record? Here's an email I just received today. 3 days short of 7 months after my application was received in Mississaugua:

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and family (if applicable).

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

Seriously. How bad is that? :O

I know, it's crazy. This is the first contact I've received from cic, weren't they supposed to send me mail saying they've actually gotten the application?

Actually, I received a letter in the mail in August saying I forgot to sign one of the papers. I sent that in the next day. A while after that I sent email asking if things are cool because I haven't heard a word, no aor, no sponsorship approval, nothing. In the response they told me my papers have recently been transferred to London so I knew they'd approved me to sponsor. I don't know what the heck took them so long to inform me of it :O And trust me, I've been pretty much a nervous wreck reading about others already landing, someone getting sponsorship approval in a few days, another getting through the whole process in a few months..... aaaargh!

Whatever happened, big congrats and I admire your patience.
