cempjwi: I think most part of it about the number of officers working in the VOs respectively. I doubt that most of the VOs have enough officers to expedite the files! It is just my guess, and reading from many posts over the months in the past.

If 'family reunification' is the priority for CIC (?) wouldn't you agree that all VO's should have about the same processing times? Hardly justifiable by the number of agents assigned to one or another VO. I mean, why not assign fewer 'here' and more 'there'? I do not think that agents can 'pick' which VO to go work at (but i guess they can refuse).

WOOT!!! Status changed to decision made: A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Sent in passport copy. :)

Happy for all you guys with good news. Envious... but glad for you. Hope I get some good news in the near future myself. ;)

My address changed to my wife's yesterday on ECAS. I thought I would print it out in case anything happened, lo and behold when I checked this AM my address had reverted back to my UK address. Now I am only 11 days from leaving for Canada. I am starting to get very anxious and then when I saw my address had been changed back to my UK address it made my anxiety 10 times worse.

Worst still I had registered post to my apartment this AM and I was so happy it would be my Visa finally but alas it was only the cable company delivering the package to return their modem and cable box. Today has been a crappy day.

Sorry to hear that, it must be really hard to go through ecas changing back and forth, especially so close to the day you're supposed to leave! I hope it gets fixed on monday. I don't think you should worry though... the VO told you that they will issue your visa and send it to your address in the UK... probably what happened is that they have indeed issued the visa and out of "habit" changed your address to the Canadian one... and then realised that you are still in the UK, and that you have told them that you will be able to receive your visa at the UK address until the day you leave, so to make it clearer they changed it back to the UK address...

Hopefully you get your visa on monday or tuesday - my ecas and address changes corresponded to the day they sent the COPR (it was issued on the 5th November, and sent from the UK on the 8th of November, and that's when my ecas + address changed), so maybe it's already on its way to you and you'll get it on time.

Hang in there - you're almost done, and good news are coming your way, it will all be over very soon!

I wouldn't pay any attention to ecas. It's so unreliable. Just focus on the fact that you're going to get mail very soon!!!!
