Guys! Nothing is wrong! As long as you don't have AOR, means package not even opened yet - anyway, Stage 1 is the easy stage right (unless you're on social assistance or something)? Just hold out a bit longer.

Im jus curious, but does it make a difference where?

I'm not sure if reading this thread is a good idea for me. I've seen others with file dates 2 weeks after mine and I still have not heard a thing. This is extremely frustrating. I'm getting the impression applications submitted through a lawyer get preferential treatment. I would love to know what the realities are within the CIC that seem to make no sense from the outside.

hey canadianjeepguy,

A lot of us here can relate to how you feel - as CIC is very inconsistent in the way they approve, and it looks like the batches of applications get divided between different offices, and some people get approvals faster than others... it is very frustrating indeed, and unfortunately there is nothing to do about it. This thread is good to get some support, and see that things are moving, but at the same time it sometimes creates even more frustration. Hang in there - you will hear soon, and I keep my fingers crossed, for you, Dheka, and other peoples that have been waiting for really long time now - hopefully CIC will send you news very soon.

Good luck with the waiting part,
Sweden

I appreciate that thanks.
Since I work for the government I realize that how things appear to work and how they actually work are 2 different things. Though this is a poor consolation when you have no avenue to contact anyone. It has been 93 days since my application was received(?). All I really want to confirm is if they actually have it. Then I would feel better. You can't get through on the phone and emails go unreturned. Those of you who have waited for a year or more must be saints.

I'm on 93 days too without a word. You're not alone. Hang in there! :)

IMHO, I don't think that there is a preferential treatment - people get approved in bundles (my heart bleeds whenever i Peek at June SS). However, the way the people get approved defies any logic. The main issue is that we do not have an outlet or means to check the status (phone / emails / online) until they start working on our applications. I'm at 90 days today.

We'll be fine.
