Hello guys,

I am applying under the family class (Spouse sponsor) from outland UK as the Principle applicant. I have been viewing previous spreadsheets dating back to May 2011. I seem to notice a lot of people applying outland from U.K have not had PPR in their process, is their a specific reason or is it more likely the spreadsheets were never updated or once the applicant received PPR they never updated the spreadsheet themselves.

This seems to be a bit of a pattern regarding applicants from London. Is it because VO does not request Passport from Nationals and sends COPR and bypasses that stage. Any help would be appreciated because it seems to me London is sloooooooooow but if PPR is missed maybe I am wrong.

My guess is they're changing protocol to send AOR during initial checks to reduce call volume, emails etc from panicked people. I think this is the new bar code system working. We will see when these may applicants get approval. I'm curious!

Can't wait to get more approvals !! I hope your theory is correct too! That would be great we need a speedier process than this! Come on May applicants!!! We need to break a record for AORs!!!

i agree cic has changed the system.. even I just got aor till now. no approval

Maybe the rest of us won't get AOR's but just approvals. I think it would be a bit unfair if approvals jumped ahead a month. I busted my butt getting my app in as soon as I could! About the bar codes, mine had the new bar codes as well..

We all have bar codes but I don't think they have really started using the system yet. Big changes take forever to implement. If the May 28 people get approval I will be happy for them but I would understand April being annoyed!

An AOR is not approval. Don't get upset yet. They might just be changing the way they do things and they probably have the end of May in initial checks right now. They have to start somewhere - they can't go back and do applications that have already gone through initial checks. I know it sucks you might not get an early AOR but it won't mean you will get approval slower.
