LOL. I don't recall making any negative/inappropriate comments. I was under the impression people came here for information and understanding of what to expect in this process. Thats why I'm here and I've learned that our immigration system is inequitable and poorly managed. In our system of democracy the onus is on individuals to address the shortcomings and transgressions of the institutions and policy makers so that fairness and equality rule the day.
I had no idea people were offended by that.

Hey all.

I've been following this thread and I guess now is the time to share my experience.

What can I say but great job CIC! After 115 days of waiting with our 6kilo application.. Our landlord in BC called my hubby in Calgary to say that we have a "heavy" mail from Mississauga saying "THIS MAIL HAS BEEN DAMAGED". Weird thing is when we called them days back, they told hubby that the app was received May 2. And it took them only now to tell us this! Once again, great job!

HOLY! I guess this is how much they value other peoples hard work. I guess its fine with them since they are not the one stressing out, compiling docs, translating every conversation since 2006.
Damn.

Yeah...well I am a highly positive person but every now and then my back gets up as well and I joined in a discussion one time and said my two cents which I guess was not appropriate or conducive to the forum atmosphere and I got a couple of minues as well. Not sure if it is the moderators who rate or other posters....anyway.....regardless if I feel strongly about something I voice it as well....while all the time trying to remain postive...LOL.....it really is hard sometimes.....but it is too easy to get caught up the negative stuff..

This is very SAD !! Anybody could have been destroyed with this news of return application with damaged materials!! What a sad news for you. Feel for you. I can only console you but nothing more! Very very sad! Thanks.

oh CJG...sometimes you do make me laugh...and yes July really does dislike you..LOL......I think it is the jeep thing for whatever reason---I mean you might be uber suburbian or metropliton...who knows.....anyway keep your chin up I am sure you will hear in the next couple of days....I did have a very witty reply to you earlier but I timed out and lost the whole damn message and frankly really can't remember what I said but it was good because I was laughing!!!,,,,anyway.....have you tried calling...thursday and friday mornings are the best time to call at around 8am if you can...usually only have to redial a couple of times before you are put on hold and now that your received date has past they will be more helpful for sure......believe me...mine aor took 107 days so I know your frustration.....but seeing as I am the mother of 4 I have more patience than the average person...LOL

I am a realist and pragmatic....and yes I own a Jeep. I see no shame in that. The wife and I have no plans for children so the legacy I wish to leave to the world is a huge environmental footprint. A task made perfectly for a Jeep.

It's a Jeep thing. I'm a Lancruiser fan and I KNOW Jeeps are the enemy People scoff at Jeeps around this house, mostly because their cars are mistaken for them which makes them very mad

I have a buddy who is a Land Rover guy. We refer to my Jeep as the LR Rescue vehicle. LOL.
I am very familiar with the contempt other SUV/truck owners have with us Jeepers. I think they are secretly envious. Mine is a '99 Cherokee 5 speed. Still in top shape. It goes anywhere and does anything. It is far from graceful and everyday it finds a way to produce a new noise that makes me say "What the hell was that?" but that is what a Jeep is.
My wife and I plan to retire to the Philippines and when that day comes my Jeep is going with us.
