I have a quick question maybe someone can help me with? I applied for my RCMP check over 3 months ago, fingerprints and everything mailed to them. Ive not received anything back at all... Is there any way to track it? Or do they send it straight to the VO/ case processing centre? I'm not even sure if I needed it but I applied for it anyway as a precaution... Anyone have a clue how it works?

You don't need police check from Canada.

Hi Guys, would like to join in this group. Our application was sent on May 28, then CIC received application by May 29. My husband got a Sponsor's approval by 1st week of July. Still waiting. Do anyone got a news already after the 2nd stage?

Also, at the website my status is still Application Received. Just want to ask, do I need to call Manila-Visa Office?

Thanks. :)

I'm happy for this person but this is bloody ridiculous.

HELP

My application arrived at CIC in Mississauga May 10th. I called them last week and I am still not in the system. Others have received their AORs in as short of a time as a week now. I'm also getting stressed about this to say the least.
You can call this number but it may take several attempts if you are even able to get through at all.
1-888-242-2100

Good luck.

Chat logs I did not include with my application figuring they would request them if they felt it necessary. Considering all our other supporting documentation 2 years of chat logs would have cost a fortune to send. How pivotal are they in the sponsorship portion of the application?

It depends on your relationship. How much other relationship evidence do you have? You're married, so that's a plus.. you don't have to prove Common Law or Conjugal. If you're close in age and have a good history between you it's good.. if you can prove that your lives are intertwined financially and emotionally. If you have photos and plane tickets.. all good. But if you met her online and married her upon first meeting, and you're 99 and she's 18 maybe you need more proof of relationship ::) Anyways, you can always send more if you get nervous.

Thanks! I feel like CIC contradict themselves all the time and I never know what they want!

Lol. We have all that. Though there is 15 years difference between us. She has a much better education than I do and could immigrate anywhere she wanted to.

For the sponsorship portion, NOT pivotal at all. It's not until Stage 2 that they will look at whether the marriage/relationship is 'genuine' or not. Stage 1 is simply and only whether you are 'eligible' to sponsor or not.

I thought that as well. I'm not concerned on whether we will get approval just when. I think I will make an appointment with an immigration lawyer to get a better understanding of why there is no parity in the AOR system.
