Darque,

Ecas shows that my application was received by VO on June 13. Can you please update the spreadsheet?

Thx

Please what is that Column E: No of Days in the May Spreadsheet? What days, please? Is that the number of days it took to process/arrive at the event (for lack of a better word ::) ) in the previous column? ie the number of days before Sponsorship approval? If yes, I am guessing its the same logic for Column H?

Anyone know?

Thanx.

Hang in there. :)

Stuff that was sent after the strike ended is getting through, but letters sent during the strike are still trickling in. Dair's package will arrive soon I am sure.

Column E = total number of days it took for sponsorship approval (starting from the day CPC-M received your application)

Column H = total number of days between CPC-M receiving your application and your application being received by VO

Hope that makes sense! ::)

I called MICC today to find out about my undertaking application and my husband's CSQ. We were approved on 11 July !! HURRAY!!

The agent advised me that they have informed & sent a copy of the CSQ to London electronically and that our copy has been posted. I haven't received it yet but at least I know we're approved and London can carry on with the PR application :D

Yaay, congrats, so it means you did not receive email? but anyways, that is good news!!!!

No. I never received any email from CPC Mississauga. I read some forumer's messages here that they have been communicated through email. I checked my personal copy (a photocopy of my application) if I gave them my email and both myself and my husband did. still really HAPPY though. Hopefully things are rolling in Manila V.O. As I've read here among applicants from Manila that the V.O. doesn't update ecas religiously. GOODLUCK to all of us!

Ha! So much for their "first in, first out" policy.

No problem. I hope you put in all possible search terms. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Ok, this is getting ridiculous and I commend you for your patience when many other people (me included) would have gone insane already. Don't feel low and miserable. I don't care that your application may be slightly different from the norm because you are sponsoring people living in a couple of different countries, that is not a good reason for CIC to be taking TWO months to give you an answer when you should be waiting one. And the fact that upon calling they cannot give you an iota of information is also upsetting.

If you are a Canadian citizen, why not contact your local MP to get them to pressure CIC for an answer? Another thing is the CAIPS notes - these are the intricate notes used by CIC to record aspects of your application throughout the process, and having to wait an abnormally long amount of time (w/ no information) during the first stage approval would be one good reason to get them, in my humble opinion. You might want to get some info on them from people who have actually ordered, but here is the basic info I copied from one of the more expert people on this forum:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563B.pdf
fill in the firm with the required details i.e.:

a) Visa post (e.g. Buffalo, NY etc.)
b) File number (e.g. BXXXX..)
c) Date of Birth
d) Your Postal address (In Canada address only)

2) Check on the box for the CAIPS notes request in the form.

3)Provide a photocopy of your valid permit/visa in Canada (Person requesting).

4) Write a cover letter requesting the notes (Person who requests writes that).

GREAT job, Darque.

Just a couple of notes: I know I said that when my husband called MICC for like the 3rd time, they finally said they DID get my CSQ application and sent me an approval.......but I do not know whether the date of the CSQ is July 8 (or any other day).....I have not gotten the letter they said they sent yet and I will not know for sure until I get it......I will update you!

Also, let's put NA's in the CSQ column for those (majority of us) people who are not going through Quebec as part of their PR application.....this is just to avoid confusion on the part of someone glancing at the spreadsheet about why most people have nothing in there.

Also, needless to say, but we should keep in mind that some on this spreadsheet are regulars here who always keep us abreast of their progress and others not so much and they may have updates to their progress that we are not aware of because they're not coming on here regularly to report.

Anyway - fingers crossed to the couple of people who really need a break w/ regard to their first stage approval. As for the others, my best wishes for success (and patience) for the road ahead to PPR.
