No. I never received any email from CPC Mississauga. I read some forumer's messages here that they have been communicated through email. I checked my personal copy (a photocopy of my application) if I gave them my email and both myself and my husband did. still really HAPPY though. Hopefully things are rolling in Manila V.O. As I've read here among applicants from Manila that the V.O. doesn't update ecas religiously. GOODLUCK to all of us!

Nope, they do not, so I am not really expecting to see an update telling that VO already got our application. Sooner we will get our PPR. Let me know if you already do. You in Philippines right now or in Canada?

What's with the smileys, sthomas? did u get ppr already? :)

I'm having trouble replying to your message with my laptop...sorry i wasn't able to reply sooner.

I haven't heard anything from CEM yet. It's such a long wait...hopefully we'll get some news soon. ;D

Hi, all

is everyone here with buffalo office?

I have a question, it's for a friend. She's the sponser. Her spouse is in the states on student visa and is currently workin legally through a work permit. She applied in May, approved in mid june. Does anyone know how long it will take for her husband to get the visa? anyone with a similar case? i know buffalo takes about 5-6months for U.S citizens, but my friend's husband is not a citizen of U.S and is on work permit.

@St. Thomas...I'm in Canada. It's my husband who is in the Philippines that I am sponsoring.

BTW folks. So happy to announced that my husband received his first letter from V.O. Manila. They received our transferred file July 8/11 and on July 12/11 letter they are asking for additional docs---> that's the YAY part. They want 1.) APPENDIX A or applicant and dependants info, 2.) PASSPORT, has to be the new red passport not the old green Philippine passport as the new red passport is machine readable as required by International Civil Aviation Org. 3.) Libyan Police Clearance. My husband worked in Libya and KSA. We submitted along with our application a letter stating how we tried to obtain PC from both countries but with no luck. We also included courier receipts of letters sent to both embassies as well as the PC request letters. I am just wondering why they insist on asking for PCs, and why Libyan only not both considering Libya is still in chaos right now. Anyways, I learned from one of the forumers here that we can obtain PC through a govt office in the Philippines named DFA-OUMWA. The V.O. is only giving my husband 45days to submit those additional docs. I heard it takes 3mos to obtain PC from DFA-OUMWA. Hopefully they will consider my husband's case and will issue him PC within 45days. Fingers crossed!

Also, info to those whose V.O. is Manila. They said on the letter that they are currently processing 80% w/in 9mos and standard processing time is 12mos.

@Ferrer

Not a PPR, it is just that last night this thread cannot almost be seen anymore because it is already at the bottom. So, I have to post a message to get it back to the top. ;D :P

Let us know here when you get yours. So far my application's timeline has been accurate compared to other forumers' timeline from V.O. Manila. That PC is the only deal breaker :( BEST of LUCK to all of us ;)

Hmmmm, based on the Maybies chart, you are the first (from VO Manila) who passed the application and also so far everyone's timeline is normal. Sure will let you know when I get mine, hopefully soon. :)

Will they give your PC within 45 days? Best of luck.

Probably NOT. It's like asking for snow in summertime, lol. My husband will go Monday to inquire and request. The only thing we can do is ask for some sort of confirmation or proof that our request for PC is in the process. Just so we have something to send back and hopefully V.O. will honour that and then we will send them the PC once we received it.

Sorry guys. I did not intend to dominate this forum with my own YEY and YAY. Ok now, it's everyone's turn. lol.
