May 2009 applicant at Buffalo now in process

I applied to CIO in March 2009 and then applied to Buffalo in June 2009. Just today my status changed from "Received by Visa Office" to "In Process". What comes next? Thanks everyone

Can you please tell me what do you mean by "then applied to Buffalo in June 2009"? Is it when you submitted all the documentation to Buffalo? Please help me understand.

Hi Garian,
I got my medical request and have been asked to submit my RPRF.
The ecase status has also changed to "In process"
I have been asked to send FBI clearance again and I am puzzled why so?
Inferring from other threads, I'm guessing I either ran out or am close to the end of 12 months since my ealier FBI clearance.
So I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed.
My family members have not been asked to do any new FBI clearance.
I do my medicals soon and will update after I do so.

So you mean, when the CIO process our application if our FBI clearance or IELTS results have crossed 12 months, then will they surely ask us to do it again? This is not a great news to hear... :-(((

Honolulu, that is great to hear. Hopefully, you clear the rest of the hurdles soon too. I am surprised that they asked for FBI clearance again. As, indicated in EG7 that the FBI Clearance should have been valid for 3 months before your application to CIO, so this was quite unnecessary. This is Buffalo's fault if they made so much of a delay that a document expired. And to tell you the reality, nowadays the waiting time to get FBI Clearance is 16-17 weeks. I wonder if Buffalo gave you so much time. Anyways, hope everything goes fine.

oh, mines still indicates received by visa office. my application is not so strong for the NOC so probably will get rejected.
i think the reference date in this case would be the date its received at visa office.

I found out that you have applied under NOC 4131.
I have also applied under 4131, though I am yet to send in full docs to Buffalo.

Also you mentioned that you think your application is not strong. Why do you think your application is not strong?

I have shown my experience as a computer instructor for 1 year and 8 months in India. But all I have is an experience letter and no pay slips or tax documents to support it as the experience was more than 5 year ago. So any input from your experience n this category will be most appreciated.

I really wish I knew.
I dont think IELTS tests will be a problem.
Getting FBI clearance however seems to be part of a background check just to eliminate the possibility that the applicant has engaged in suspicious activities after submission of his application.

Leave it to the Almighty to determine our fate.
We do only what we can do and there is no point getting upset or frustrated if things are not always in our favor!!

Yes, it's about fate! Once you do your part then let the rest roll.But then let's no just give in to fate, Let's think positive and always be hopeful!!Prayers do work,too!
