Hi Tinacraigg,

So sorry to read from you this news. Just to be clear we understand what you are talking about? Which application got refused? Is it work permit or PR? Please clarify for better understanding. Thanks!

What? I have not heard of any PNP applications being refused....do you mind sharing details or insight as to why it was refused? I am so sorry to hear that.

I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the Provincial Nominee Class and have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

Subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that a person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

You were asked on 03 December, 2014 to provide the following documentation:

1) Evidence of on-going relationship between you and your spouse

2) Copy of letter of employment from your current employer that clearly indicates your employment status, start date, salary and contact information for your employer

3) Copies of your pay stubs for the last 6 months

4) Copies of your bank statements for the last 6 months

This letter informed you that if this office did not receive the required evidence and documents from you within 60 days of the date of that letter, your application would be assessed on the basis of the information that was already before the officer.

I dont know what theyre talking about, but i swear that i sent all the documents that they asked me :( :(

Hi Tinacrigg,

I am writing with a heavy heart right now. I am so so sorry to read about this news.
Since you are sure you submitted the requested documents, you may want to seek the help of an immigration specialist (lawyer) as soon as possible to see if you can appeal the decision.
So sorry my dear friend.

Appealing a decision is possible as long as you have valid grounds.
If it's because of criminality, you have to wait some years if the crime is minor and reapply from scratch but if it's something like a DUI, you'll never be able to come back.
If it's medical, you need to show that you won't drain the social system with it. IE if your child is autistic you show you have enough money or position to pay for his/her special needs without the help of the government. However, if it's because of HIV or tuberculosis then there's nothing you can do.
If it's documentation, being late or not enough evidence of something, then the case can be reopened as long as you have more proof of whatever they are asking for(ie say why you didn't submit certain document but you have something else to back it up)
Everything else you don't stand a chance.

Reasons why I've seen PR applications rejected:
-fake documentation
-fraud marriage
-criminal

tinacraig....You MUST call CIC and explain the situation - the call agent may be able to help you out or connect you to their supervisor. This should be your first step ASAP.

After that, you will have to collect proof of documents that you sent such as courier receipts/ tracking number etc ( or even copies of the old documents)...take this to an immigration lawyer / consultant to appeal the decision.
