I'm waiting almost 13 months now and my medical will expire in a few weeks. Think I'm ready to give up on this and go home. :-[

Hi, I'm not really sure what will happen. I think I'll have to do the medical again (or part of the medical). But I've heard of some
people in this forum who've had the validity of their medical results extended.

You will also need to take work permits (All of them) and they'll shred those. They usually do not create as much as a fuss about not having expired permits, but if you do not have your current permit, that could mean a long 3-5 hours wait there while they verify everything.

Not a chance. Although I have seen people get it in 3 days to a week, I know my crappy luck and I know I have to wait at least a month or two before I get it. I just know what all documents you need for landing because I accompanied my girlfriend for her landing.

FYI, my passport was received in Ottawa on March 6th and still waiting for return tracker to get active. With people getting it in a week or two, for a while I forgot how long it usually takes things to get done for me.

I just checked my online status and I see that's it's finally "in process". I guess that's good news. ???

Congrats! This is awesome news. You will get DM very soon. These days they don't take as long to move from IP to DM as they used to a few months ago. Hooray!
