No, I'm suggesting you're an a-hole for generalising ;D

Sorry for the a-hole. :-[ I know you're not.

Now let's have a good end of day.

:p :p :p :p :p

While it's reassuring to hear that CIC doesn't always update the ECAS tool, it makes the situation even more frustrating, as there doesn't seem to be any recourse to gaining a better understanding of where exactly an application sits, which is really throwing a monkey wrench into my employment plans for the next year ("I have no idea yet when I would be able to start, I'm sorry!"). The Express Entry thing almost feels like salt in the wound because it's acknowledgment that there's a significant problem with the processing times, but it only address the issue moving forward, not the applicants currently entangled in the problem.

I think I might just send an email to Ontario to check and see. Wouldn't hurt anything, I suppose.

Since we were talking about PNP and that it is meant to be a high-priority program and processed faster... Below is a timeline from a CEC April applicant! Lol laugh or cry, CIC follows an exceptionally eccentric philosophy of processing these applications and different programs.

Thank you

Timeline is:

-received application for permanent residence on April 10, 2014.
-receipt of application on May 5, 2014.
-Medical on November 5, 2014.
-Medical results received on November 10, 2014
-RPRF on November 11, 2014.
-Started processing application on November 26, 2014.
-Decision made January 11, 2015.
I don't need to send in my passport as I am from a visa exempt country, so I am just waiting for Canada post snail mail then I'm off to the border.

Hope this helps calm some nerves.

Still more decision made and maybe more in progress then PNP nominees according to their tracking...

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsFmKvHOgoF5dC1oTmF3amRuMUpBdzhfRFhUeUpXR3c&usp=sharing#gid=0

Just saying...it kind of feels pointless and naïve to be sticking PNP stickers on envelopes and going through months of PNP. I hope their EE 6 month processing promise holds, otherwise can you imagine people waiting 8-20 months according to which province they apply in to get the nomination and then another 13+ months at federal processing?!

We are still lucky that we got our provincial nominations in a relatively short amount of time so that's ok but I would not want to be a May/June candidate and later!

Hi
The current processing time for PR application at Ottawa office is 17 months. That's what showing on CIC webpage. Does that mean the processing could take 17 or more months after submission of an Application? If so then most of our medical result will be expired as it is valid for only 12 months after medical done. So will they ask to do medical again? Any Idea?

I'm not a citizen nor a permanent resident, however I make more than twice the Canadian average, which means I pay a lot of taxes!

Pretty much every immigrant I know is a hard worker, no matter whether they're PhDs or factory workers. They do also pay taxes!

I know a lot of Canadians living of social welfare, EI or other benefits. Can't remember of one single immigrant doing it.

Your citizen status doesn't change crap, my friend... Canadian, temporary or permanent resident, you MUST pay taxes!

Anyway, this is not the point. Not sure why I'm replying to your comment.

All I know is that...... THE ROOF, THE ROOF, THE ROOF IS ON FIREEEEEEEEE!!!

LOL! :p :p :p :p

PRETTY TRUE ...
