I called the CIC office yesterday and all the lady would tell me is that "it is still going" I think were her words, and I asked "so they are just working on it" and she said yes. It would of been nice to get a little more clarification about what stage my application is at but it is what it is. I'm trying not to stress but seeing so many April applicants moving way faster then mine is a little disappointing for me. Fingers crossed our case workers pull their finger out and we get some movement soon!

I am May 14 applicant. Still showing medical received.
I need advice into my matter, my passport is going to be expired soon (1st,July 2015) and Visa or workpermit also in same month.
I don't understand what to do
Can I go to India and wait over there for my ppr?

July is a long way. the best choice for you is to renew your passport asap. go on bls website (http://www.blsindia-canada.com/passport.php) and renew it. I renewed it in august 2014(you can renew your passport within one year of expiring) as it was expiring in April 2015. It took me about a month to get the renewed passport. After I got the passport, I scanned the first two pages and last two pages of the passport and emailed to CIC. Dont worry , you dont need to go to India to renew passport.

So hey, clerical question for those of you who may know. Got my CPR papers in the mail today, and the accompanying note says that "you must inform us if any corrections are required to the name, passport number or date of birth on the CPR(s)." All of that info is correct on our papers, but the "last entry" data is not. We all drove to the States for Christmas, so our last entry is later than what's on the paperwork. Sure, it's not one of the corrections listed in the CPR, but it is something that's no longer correct. Is this something that will need to be updated before we sign our papers during landing?

Actually I just worried to send my passport anywhere this time. On the other side I have to go to India in last week of April. I just checked website you provided. I checked with those guys and they are saying atleast 2 months will take for renewal of passport.

I am expecting my PPR in next couple of months.........

Hello friends ... Need urgent help...
File received on 31st march 2014 ... Still waiting IP (with spouse in india)

Questions are...

1) CIC ask me additional documents on 2 oct.2014 we submited o 5 oct and received by 6 oct. But still cic did not updated that documents in my file ... So what should i do ... Can i contact sydney office or still wait...

2) we submited my FBI pcc with application when we submited now within 2 months its going to expires so should i have to submit new one fbi pcc or its ok i never been out of country after applied for pr other then my home country..

Plz reply ... Waiting for ... Answers..

you need to have a valid passport when you have to land after getting the visa stamped. so you wont have much time to renew the passport if you wait to do it after getting the PPR. i would suggest to renew right now and depending on which area in canada you live in, the process is faster in ontario, but it took me a month as i applied to vancouver as I am an alberta resident.
