SO what truly constitutes a family application?

I am mailing two envelopes ; one for wife, one for me in the same courier envelop. Does that constitute a family application? even though we have completed different forms and attached different documents/payments?

thanks

Family applications
If more than one member of your family is applying for Canadian citizenship, send all the applications together in the same envelope. The applications will be processed together. If one or more family members' applications are incomplete, ALL of the applications will be returned to you.

Not according to the spreadsheet. There are still plenty of Jan/Feb applicants waiting. It's a small sample size, but we're probably looking at another couple of months before a test invite appears for Marchers.
ok. My PR card will expire on OCT. Do I need to renew it while my citizenship application is in process? since as you said might be couple of months so I don't think I can get test invite before SEP. Then waiting for oath may be a month or two. Do I need to keep my PR card valid while finishing citizenship process even though I don't have any plan to leave country till my citizenship get approved?

I'm not sure. Sounds like a question for CIC. I'm sure they have something in their FAQ about it or call them up and ask.

Mine will expire in February next year. I will renew it independently from my citizenship progress as if it takes indeed a year or longer than I will sit on an expired permanent resident card and cannot travel.

One very last question(s) please:

Q9.C - Quebec's Permanent List of Electors: should I leave it blank or click "NO"? I don't reside in Quebec.

Q9. F- Language instructions for newcomers to Canada - LINC:
Should I leave it blank or click "NO"?
I am not using LINC.
Thanks.

Hi

I have a question on name change or dropping a part of given name.

My name is AAAA Kumar BBBB. Its a Indian name and is kind of middle name but when i moved to canada it became part of my given name because my indian passport has AAAA Kumar as given name.

I got my citizenship certificate on this name i.e AAAA Kumar BBBB. My provincial driving licence has AAAA BBBB and other documents have AAAA Kumar BBBB.

Now i want to apply canadian passport, My preference for name is AAAA BBBB and drop Kumar from it, should i apply with AAAA Kumar BBBB or AAAA BBBB. I have driving licence to prove i use AAAA BBBB as my name.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/apply/name-change.asp

As per the link above, would it be considered a legal name change or just dropping a given name.

Thank you in advance everyone.
