Stream: OINP Employer Job Offer, Foreign Worker (Non-Express Entry)
Federal PR application submitted: April 1, 2026
AOR received: today October 21, 2026
Biometrics instruction letter: Received today as well

HI, I PR appplication is submitter under non express entry Employee job offer foriegn worker stream . Now, due to my mental condition I would like to take a medical leave before I receive my PR confirmation. I would like to understand will there be any implication if i go on job protected 26 week leave . My employer is very supportive.

My current immigration status is as follows:

• I hold an employer-specific closed work permit and have an approved OINP Employer Job Offer nomination under the Foreign Worker stream.
• My non-Express Entry PR application was submitted on March 5, 2026.
• I received my AOR and Biometrics Instruction Letter on September 28, 2026, and completed biometrics on October 1.
• I received my PAL on October 17.
• Both my dependent daughter's and my medical examinations were marked as passed on October 26, 2026
• My eligibility assessment is complete, while background verification remains in progress. Waiting for Final decision.
