I submitted my Non-Express Entry OINP Employer Job Offer PR application through the PR Portal on March 9, 2026. I’m still waiting for my AOR.
Is anyone else from early March still waiting? If there’s a WhatsApp or Telegram group for March 2026 applicants, I’d really appreciate it if someone could share the invite. Thank you!

HI, I PR appplication is submitter under non express entry Employee job offer foriegn worker stream . Now, due to my mental condition I would like to take a medical leave before I receive my PR confirmation. I would like to understand will there be any implication if i go on job protected 26 week leave . My employer is very supportive.

- I hold an employer-specific closed work permit and have an approved OINP Employer Job Offer nomination under the Foreign Worker stream.
- My non-Express Entry PR application was submitted on March 5, 2026.
- I received my AOR and Biometrics Instruction Letter on September 28, 2026, and completed biometrics on October 1.
- I received my PAL on October 17.
- Both my dependent daughter's and my medical examinations were marked as passed on October 26, 2026
- My eligibility assessment is complete, while background verification remains in progress. Waiting for Final decision.
Yes taking leave could be a problem and you’d need to inform IRCC that you have taken medical leave. Canada wants to ensure that accept people who will work and add to the economy if getting PR via an economic pathway and not become dependent on the state. You’d also have to repeat your medical if your health issues are so serious you can no longer work although you may have already mentioned your severe mental health issue since you just completed your medical. Your employer would also have to inform IRCC that you are no longer working and are on medical leave.
