Guys @legalfalcon I my ecopr is only valid to 19 Feb 2021. What does that mean? I don't think I will even get my pr card by then.
It only means that you have to land in Canada before the date, as in you have to activate the COPR and have it stamped before the date.

Once stamped and you are admitted (if you are not in Canada), the stamped COPR will be the document that shows that you are a PR.

hi @legalfalcon , In inland application, if all stages are passed on GCMS for months, does expiry date of copr document/ medical have any bearing on pace or timing of final decision being provided ?
No, the dates have no bearing. The document numbers and dates are entered after a final review is done and all stages passed.

Many applications are pending with a similar issue, and awaiting a final decision.

Hi @legalfalcon

I am on currently BOWP and my BOWP is going to expire in 1st week of April'21. I am currently in Canada and my file is in process. So my question is, am i eligible for new PGWP (which they started on 27th jan this year) or I have to apply again for BOWP?

Please help
You have to meet all the 5 requirements, the most important being:
  1. Your post-graduation work permit (PGWP)
    1. expired on or after January 30, 2020, or
    2. will expire within 4 months from the date you apply for this open work permit.
  2. You were in Canada as of January 27, 2021, when the public policy took effect, and have stayed in Canada since then.

For other requirements, see

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/students/pgwp-extend.html
