Yesss!! I remember your screen name. I'm pretty good. How have you been? What city did you settle in? Good luck with the citizenship application!!Hey YamPower, remember me back from our PR application days? Wow so nice to see you again. We are in the same boat albeit I just applied because of a lot of US travel. How have you been?
1) I won't get my hopes up, but they did say about 4 weeks, as per experience they did send me a test invite exactly 2 months from in process. but I guess that depends on which office you're application is assigned to, I would recommend checking the 2018 tracker and check your location and month stats to have a better idea how fast that office processes and gives out invites.Hello All,
When I received the AOR, there was a link on there that leads you to more information about the citizenship test, it reads that "You may be invited to take the citizenship test within weeks after we send you the acknowledgement of receipt (AOR) letter. About 4 weeks before the test, we’ll send you a notice with the date, time and location."
There are links on the website to download the study material:
I have a few questions:
1) Should I be expecting an email from CIC letting me know about the date of my test shortly or does this take some time? Or is it usually, once they have started processing my application? How long is the wait between the time the AOR is received and the date of the test is set?
2) Also, do you guys recommend that I start studying for the test NOW?
3) I know that the Citizenship application takes about 12 months, so when should I be expecting the date of test notification email/letter and it also suggests that once the test is PASSED, there will be an interview the same day and once everything is cleared, the officer will let me know about the ceremony date.
I just need to know the closest approximate time frame for all of this.
Thank you
you can check your email maybe junk folder for an email from CIC or maybe check ECAS if your application is already active. a few applicants have missed the email but when they checked their ecas they already have an AOR.Send my aplication to Sydney NS on March 26 via Expresspost (with signature). Canada post screwed up and they not provide me a signature so I don't have a proof that my application arrived to Sydney. I call Canada Post, open dispute, call them again and again and they try to convince me that my parcel is delivered. I still don't have a signature like a proof so I can't be sure. Online tracking still show that my parcel is in transit.
Please, can someone provide me a phone number to try reach someone in CIC and ask them to check that for me?
Thank you very much.
Actually, I think it's to early to have AOR because I sent application end of March but I would like to now if they received or not.you can check your email maybe junk folder for an email from CIC or maybe check ECAS if your application is already active. a few applicants have missed the email but when they checked their ecas they already have an AOR.

Even I have a similar question. Will all correspondence be made through email or we would be getting any regular mails?Question: When your application moves to "In Process", do you receive an e-mail, such as the AOR?
No. It will be updated in eCAS directly, no emails/mails sent for InProcessEven I have a similar question. Will all correspondence be made through email or we would be getting any regular mails?
