I recieved the message above on 21st of October. Please does anyone else have experience with this kind of message. What is the outcome? and how long does it take to get the message.
It is taking them a really long while to issue ppr nowadays. They say they issue ppr in batches so just wait a little while more.

New passport will be your valid TD (Travel Document) and the visa in the old passport will be valid. This is the usual case. Passport cancellation means it's no longer a valid TD but doesn't cancel the visas within it.
However, since you have already submitted the passport for PR visa, that means you do have an empty page for the visa (and an adjacent page for stamping). Can't you hold off the renewal until after the soft landing? I guess it's more of a personal choice but I'd not have gone into the least bit of uncertainty in this case and would have just renewed later.
Noted. However, the thing is that i often travel due to work so was anticipating that once the visa has been stamped i may be really short on pages before which i need to do my soft landing in Jan preferably.

If anyone comes across any reference material from a legit source, kindly share.Thank you for your suggestions.

Hi everyone !
It's sad that Ralph Goodale has lost the election - was very helpful for us all.
Now that - his office is no longer in position to get our status update
ANYONE HAS ANY OTHER REF. EMAIL WHEREBY it's possible to gain some information on our application.
You can just call them,it is same info.

Sent the form more than 8 days back, still no answer if it is ok for extention
