So I emailed them via webform to find out the status of my application whether i had passed any of the following; eligibility, criminality and security . they replied that my file is currently located at the Canadian visa office in London, England and because of the specific nature of my query, i better contact them directly. Should I contact them or wait a bit?

If they directed you the route then you should follow it

YEs, the GCMS notes are requested under the Access to Information Act. They have nothing to do with the processing of your application. Also, when you request GCMS notes, your consultant has no notice of it and the GCMS notes are sent to you.

When you request through GET GCMS, a pre-filled consent form will be sent to you. It will have a designated representatives details, who will be authorized to obtain the GCMS notes, but this form doe snot provide him the authority to replace your consultant.

3) The details contained in GCMS notes are usually till which date? Assuming it's ordered on 30th June
The GCMS notes are generated a few days after your place the request. Assuming you request on June 30, the GCMS notes will be generated between July 3-July 10.

My request for GCMS dated 14 May 2019 is yet to be processed. Did not get the notes, and got a mail that they have raised the issue as a status request to IRCC, and we have to wait 2 weeks. Can you please check? Application 1254767.
