GUYS FINALLY MY HUSBAND RECEIVED HIS PPR EMAIL TODAY!!! We cannot believe it.. we are 2 weeks away from hitting the 12th month mark! Thank you god and good luck to all of you, do not loose hope.. i lost hope and thought about giving up a few days ago... but a surprise email today changed everything.. best of luck to all of you out there the feeling of excitement is unreal!

my husband's still says in process... and everything is under review and background check still says in process even after receiving PPR... the website isn't that reliable i guess. Your journey will be over very very soon.

Wonder why they didn't just send you PPR but at least you know it's a positive decision.

I dont know either but it was exactly one year and about time!! It sucks because im done mat leave and back to work and now hes gunna be able to work... oh well!!

I am december 2016 applicant
Embessy requested for re medical on 16 feb 2018.
On gc key 1 march it changed to background check in progress. How long does it take got PPR ??

A month ago my wife sent an email to MP and we got reply on 2 march 2018


“
Just want to update you that I did speak to IRCC about you and your husband's case. It does appear that things are moving along. There was a due date on file to bring your case forward, but it had not been done so by February 14. I would suggest waiting two weeks to see if there is any progress in your case. Hopefully our calls and emails have helped to "un-stick" the file.



Do let me know by March 14th, if you have heard anything positive or if you have not received news on the case by then. We will call our colleagues again at that point to check in on the file. Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.”
Can somebody please tell us how long does it take for background check ???

Yes you should inform cic about everything and you can also request them to process your case faster for this reason. Send them the hospital reports and scans. I kept them updating even after when my baby was born i sent them birth certificate and passport.

You should call him and tell him to update cic dont ask him that you should or you shouldnt the thing is canadian embessy is unpredictibld and very complicated you dont want any sort or trouble or delay in the process so keep them updated about it. The first time when we got scans and all the test reports we sent them straight away. At least they will know your situation and tomorrow they can ask for anything.
